Xitun District hotels & places to stay

Pro: 1. It provides all the basic necessity a backpacker needs for free except towel. 2. The bed is clean and very soft comfy. 3. Hostel look modern and chic. Love the effort they put in to create a place to sleep. Con: 1. Location to place of interest is not near. the best way to travel ard is to hop on a bus, which is free within 10km ride. The nearest bus stop is 10min walk from hotel. 2. Common area are abit dirty. Maybe due to high occupancy. 3. Guess are require to take off the pillow case, linen after check out. I notice some guest didn't comply. Wonder if the management ll change the linen or not cos guest are not require to inform when they check out. Summary: It was a pleasure to stay at this hostel.

Got bite by bed bugs...have informed to the owner and hope they have changed the bed. Room is very simple with limited socket for phone charging. Very cold at night( strong wind comes from window). My stay was winter. +cheap, worth for money -only two toilet, the water is either too hot(until it hurts me) or too cold (wait for few minutes for the hot water to come during shower at winter was disaster because the window is just beside you!), a little dangerous for girl to walk at night.

Location of this B&B establishment is in residential area, of high security (as we had to tap thru a couple of doors to get to our room). It's about 5min walk to Fengjia night market if you take the road nearly in front of the establishment; about 10min walk if you take the longer route (as the owner advised that the shorter route can be rather dark at night). A good choice if you would like to be away from the hustle and bustle of the night market. Quite a few food options available in the vicinity too. Though exterior of the building looks old, there is lift for us to access to the levels where the rooms are located. The rooms are well maintained and clean; room size is decent. The bathroom is on the small side; shower area not separated from the WC, hence the whole bathroom floor and WC get wet after a shower. Service from the owner and her staff was good, they were warm and friendly. (Note: need to contact them when you have arrived, so that they can fetch you near the main road or give you further instructions re actual address of establishment) Overall, our party of 6 were satisfied with this choice of accommodation; value for money.

Definitely the best hotel I've stayed in for the price I paid for 3 nights. Location wasn't the best, but it was still a short bus ride from Feng Chia night market (busses were free to ride when I was there). The room was spacious with a large TV, a table with 4 seats and loads of floor space, free laundry (self service and free detergent from the friendly reception). Breakfast wasn't amazing but definitely not be a deal breaker for me. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone willing to compromise on the location seeking a suite like room paying budget like prices!

When you booked the hotel, you will be sent a map and self-check in guidance by the staff, I thought that was really cool. When I visited the hotel, it doesn't look like a hotel, but it didn't take me so long to find the building. The location is amazingly strategic, it's near two convenient stores, near Fengjia Nightmarket and also near Shinkong Mitsukoshi that you can grab a BRT from there. The hotel facility is also cool. They provide you a washing machine, a fridge, and even provides you a detergent and dish washing soap. It feels like home.

-Basically this is more like hostel, not difficult to locate by taxi driver. Room is big n clean except bathroom is small. reach location just approach security he will give you room key after clarification. security are friendly and helpful. there is no house keeping during stay. 8-10 mins walk to feng jia night market, mins walk to carrefour department store, mins walk to xiang kong Mist. n mega city department store, 2 mins walk further down to Taichung national Theater. if u purchase traveler bus card u can travel in public bus F.O.C with 10 km. So, from xiang king/mega city mall jump on bus no.300/303/306/310 to taichung train station is free.

Spotlights: Food Delivery Robot, a cool & refreshing room service experience! And it's an Unmanned Hotel: Self Check in & out. In room, there's an Air Purifier making the interior clean & cozy. As for the deco, the Retro Shanghai Style truly caught my eye!! The best part, it's near Fengchia (逢甲) shopping area & night market. What I feel pity about: no special views from the windows, merely city roads (and a small hotel w/ 4 floors). Since it's on the main city road, outside noise was unavoidable.

This motel was likely one of the first in the city but unfortunately still looks that way. Other than the excellent well-serving and enthusiastic staff members, and a well-serviced, albeit minimal breakfast, nothing else seem to have been worth it. However, given that we booked during the biggest holiday of the year, I suppose we can’t really complain about the price, which is more than reasonable given the time period. Its location near the biggest upscale shopping district, the popular national concert hall, and the famous Fengchia Night Market should also be commended.

Booked on the 24 Dec 16. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff is waiting for us to check in as they do not have 24H Front Desk services. After 11pm, access into the hotel is through the front door using your hotel card. Every room comes with a unique design. Although the room is small, it has everything all you need and best part is the washroom comes with bidet on its toilet bowl. It is within 2 mins walk to Carrefour and up to 7mins walk to Fengjia Nightmarket. It also provide ala carte western breakfast from its cafe at level 2.

GOGO is about a year new. Room is spacious, modern and clean. Centrally located if you are staying in Xitun district. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Breakfast selection is very good, better than some 5-star hotels we stayed in the past. GOGO does not have gym or laundry facility but free underground parking is a plus. There are local restaurants around, but food courts in the two big, upscale adjacent malls on Wenxin road are preferred which are only a few blocks away. Will definitely come back.

Taiwan is small and compact, why would you pay over NTD $2000 to dive in a swimming pool with artificial landscapes. The room is overly charged and noisy for being on the first floor and not even comes with a bottle of water. The most disappointing part was the breakfast. You can only have cheaply made sandwiches, bread, cereal and two kinds of fruit. The coffee tasted like water.

Great location, there is bus station(chao ma) which is just 5 mins away and station connects you to all parts of Taiwan ,including airport. 2 mins away from tiger mall 5 mins away from sogo shopping mall. 2 mins away from Maple garden and Taichung national theatre. Near by Taichung City Hall. Staying in this motel is very pleasant experience, love the SPA tub, room is clean and spacious. Breakfast is simple but nice. Staffs are very friendly and attentive. If you need taxi, the staff can call for u. before leaving ,they offer me mineral water. AND Facial Mask as gift of completing the feedback form.

Although I have made a request on the colour of the room (no red or orange theme), but they still put me in the room with orange colour~ But still, a very satisfied stay! The room that I stayed is equipped with water spa room, 1 cold pool, 1 jacuzzi pool, 1 bathroom with door, and toilet without door. In my opinion, it is only suitable for couple, or if you don't mind to let your friends or family looking at you when you're "doing business" in the toilet. There are 2 remote controls available, where you can easily watch on the censored channels. So beware if you have your young children staying in with you. The room is huge (probably larger than my condo) and I'll be back to experience different theme next time!

We booked the superior double. The room was huge and the bathroom was about the same size! Bathroom has a really nice bath tub with jets that we used every night. It's a bit pricey because it is a love hotel, but room was worth it for us. The staff was also great. We were asked what time and what type of breakfast we wanted delivered in the morning and it came on the dot.
