Hotels with airport transfer in Manchester

"I booked this hotel in spite of its reviews and it turned out to be fine. The room was comfortable and clean and only lacked a fridge to keep our flight snacks cool. We didn't have breakfast as we'd opted to sleep longer and eat at the airport after check in. The staff helped me as I was travelling alone with a lot of luggage and a four year old. The short shuttle to the airport was painless too and children travel on the shuttle at a reduced fare. Thanks for giving us a hassle free comfortable night's stay Britannia! If you're heading to Manchester from overseas remember to carry a £1, $1 or 1Euro as you'll need one to use a trolley at the airport and it's non refundable: grrrr. Always a pain when you arrive with crisp notes from your currency exchange and have far too much luggage for one adult to handle!"

"We were delighted with our choice for this visit to Manchester. We didnt want to stay in the centre but wanted to be within walking distance. The location is perfect. The hotel is spotless clean and bright and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist. Our room was lovely. It was bright and tastefully decorated with a free soft drink minibar provided along with robes and slippers. The hotel is located on First Street, a newly developed area with bars and restaurants and next door to Home, a theatre, restaurant & cinema complex. The are is still being developed but we are already looking forward to returning in the near future. Breakfast was good, the restaurant is bright and spacious and we didnt get that crowded breakfast room feeling. We had dinner in the hotel on the Saturday night and it was lovely. Definitely recommend this hotel."

"My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Manchester and the central location of the apartment played a huge role during our stay. It only took us a 5-10 minutes stroll to the Arndale shopping centre. The 2 bedroom penthouse also came with additional 2 sofa beds which could be shared with 2 people per bed and by far the comfiest sofa bed I have ever slept on. Well sized bedrooms and clean bathrooms definitely influenced this review positively. The kitchen facilities were of high standard so cooking was a breeze. The Internet connection was particularly good and the children enjoyed watching telly on the big screen. The staff were very helpful and friendly so all in all we do not have any complaints regarding this apartment hotel and if we are ever in Manchester in the nearest future, we will definitely stay here again!"

"We have been staying at Clayton's (formerly Bewleys) every year since it opened at Manchester Airport before flying back to the States. We always felt relaxed and comfortable, and it had everything we could want. We'd start with a late afternoon cappuccino in the lounge, and after a little rest, had a beard ate in the dining room. We would have two favorite appetizers: caesar salad and pasta bolognese, (Always consistent- now not available). It was a hot day this year and we were surprised that the room had no air conditioning, and was stiflingly hot. In this day and age I've never come across a hotel that wasn't air conditioned. We asked at the desk if we could change to an air conditioned room, and learned that it was only in a limited number of "superior" rooms at an extra premium of 20 pounds. I am forewarned for the future. We did upgrade and I will say the room had new beds with very good mattresses and the ac was quiet. They even had blankets in the cupboard as an alternative to those heavy duvets.I never saw this difference advertised. The breakfasts are still wonderful, and the hotel provides free shuttles to your terminal, even though this year the vans were late. Feels like they are cutting corners. Still, for a one night stay before a flight, Clayton's has good facilities."

"Me and my partner stayed here before our flight at manchester airport, we arrived around midnight as a last minute decision. The location was good, we ordered a uber for the morning of the flight and it costs us around £10 to the airport. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfy. Only downfall was we had booked a double bed and received two singles, however it was early hours in the morning and we wasn't too bothered about this, we just wanted to get our heads down before the flight. The man on reception was very good and quick with his jobs. Would recommend. "

"We had booked the airport hotel for our last night, remembering our experience in London with getting from a downtown hotel to the airport to catch our flight. But as it turned out, it would have been very easy to stay downtown Manchester and catch a train to the airport in the morning. But it was OK. You can catch an airport shuttle for 3 pounds per person or a taxi for 6 pounds to and from the airport. Or you can walk. We decided to walk since we were going to be on a plane for 7.5 hours. There is a footpath all the way and it takes about 20 minutes. We ended up being allocated an accessible room, which was not ideal as the shower is open and you don't get your pull out couch. But it was very comfortable and clean. That is all that really matters when you are there for one night and plan to catch a plane the next day. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home"

"Both myself and my husband had a great stay here in Manchester Hotel. The staff are nice and polite. The rooms were speck and clean and toiletries were always topped up everytime we requested for a make-up of the room. I loved the fact how there was an iron board and iron for me to iron my clothes. And interestingly there was a trouser press also. And the room was very spacious. As our stay was near the airport, it was also close to train, bus and tram stations."

"Enjoyable stay at well located hotel, have already booked our next stay here. Will use this now as our go to hotel in Manchester, after staying in several other hotels in the city I found this offers a great value for money."
