“Sonaga Ticked most our boxes”
We were a family of 6 in a 4 Bed Villa with private pool. Very spacious for the price. Privacy was a bonus with our private pool. Room was clean and tidy, but previous workmanship eg grouting of tiles was a little rough. Close to the beach. There needed to be a few more beach chairs with sun umbrellas. Both the main pools did not have functioning swim up bars which was disappointing. Staff bent over backwards to help us with any need, and were eager to drive us to our room in the buggy when we asked. Front desk staff always willing to help. Breakfast was included, large selection but not to our liking except we loved the fresh Pho. It is a shame there was not a greater variety of fruit considering the climate. Lunch and dinner menu was the same and limited selection. Would have loved to have Vietnamese options like Bun Cha or Vietnamese pancakes as options. But it was very nice. Online, special combo at the restaurant states finishes 9:30pm but inside on board it states a different time of 5:00pm. They would not allow this after 5pm. Disappointing ! The bar tender made amazing cocktails and was super friendly. 5-6 minute walk to local night market with food options - Suggest you eat at the restaurants on the sides not the markets. The 10am Shuttle was great to King Kong Market which had almost everything you could imagine, but needed to be made available at more times during the day. Would be happy to stay there again. Thank you to all the staff that made our trip enjoyable.
