“Beautiful Stay with Stunning Views, but Lacked Indian Food Options”
We stayed at Seashell Hotel for 6 nights and were truly impressed by the property’s location, upkeep, and service standards. The sea-view room was stunning, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance that made our stay memorable. All other amenities — the pool, beach access, room cleanliness, and staff hospitality — were exceptional and reflect the high standards of a 5-star resort. However, one significant area where the hotel fell short was the lack of Indian cuisine in the breakfast buffet. As Indian travelers with a young child, we were surprised to find no Indian options — veg or non-veg — despite this being a common expectation at international properties catering to a global clientele. We raised this on Day 1 with the chef and floor manager, but unfortunately, no arrangements were made for the rest of our stay. During our stay, we noticed that at least 10–15% of the guests were Indian, and many of them echoed the same concern about the unavailability of Indian food, especially with young children. The breakfast buffet is otherwise extensive, especially for those who enjoy seafood and Western or local Vietnamese food, but it may not meet the needs of Indian families or travelers looking for familiar flavors — especially for young children. We truly hope the hotel considers introducing a few basic Indian dishes (like paratha, poha, upma, or chole bature) to cater to the growing number of Indian tourists. That said, the overall experience — aside from this one limitation — was excellent, and we would recommend Seashell Hotel to travelers who prioritize scenic views and top-class hospitality.
