Romblon Province hotels & places to stay

This is our second stay at The Beach House on Carabao Island. The staff is the BEST, the class of the entire hotel is leaps and bounds above anything on the Island, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner again on our second visit and discuss the local attributes of the Island and the wonderful people here. If you're coming to Carabao Island, this is the ONLY hotel with a steady supply of running water, extended electricity with generator as the power on the island is only available from 1 PM to 11 PM and 4 AM to 6 AM, when it's running. The wonderful staff at The Beach House treated us as Royalty. The wonderful rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. We felt as though we were at home, except with cheerful, conscientious maid service. Truly an Gem of the Pacific.

Me and my boyfriend went to have 1 week vacation w/ 3 destinations, Bora-Carabao-Romblon(footprints). All of these places are beautiful, but what made this resort special are the owners. Ange & Owen are really nice, accommodating & approachable, they made sure that we have everything we need, treating us like a guest in their home & not as a guest in their resort. It was not easy to get here though, but when we arrived & saw the view from our room (ocean view room), man, its absolutely worth it! You can chill on the hammock in front of your door, or just sit on the chair outside your room or watch the sunset on their resto. Its the perfect place to unwind & just disconnect from your busy life in the metro. As for the food, dont expect seafood or anything tropical-ish since they dont serve anything like that, but it wont dissappoint you (we highly reco the angus burger though). Its kinda pricy but its understandable since the market is very far from them. We love every min of our stay!

Initially booked for 1 night stay only but we extended for another night, and we definitely made the right choice. In Romblon Fun Divers you'll have everything you need from wifi, cable, clean rooms, hot shower even the staff are all friendly :) We also rented their motorbike which is very helpful should you wish to tour the whole town proper. The hotel is near everything, the plaza, port, restaurants and even shopping center. During our island hopping, we were also able to meet the owners of Romblon Fun Divers at their other resort which is Sunset Cove Resort located at Alad Island, we had our lunch there and they were both so kind they allowed us to use their pool :) After our 2 nights stay we transferred to Sibuyan then went back to Romblon Romblon again. Since we will depart at 8pm on our last day, we've decided to rent motorbikes at Romblon Fun Divers again and they allowed us to leave our bags even if we're not booked at their hotel anymore. Our whole stay at Romblon Island was definitely amazing not just because of the places we went but also because this hotel made everything comfortable for us. Will definitely book on this hotel again, after all...Romblon is the place where my boyfriend proposed to me :)

This resort is really good. Everything is perfect including the owner. He assisted me all throughout our travel in Romblon and Sibuyan. The only main concern is, the employers/server of this resort is unprofessional and don't know how to attend customers needs properly. I think they need to adopt the customer level skills of Kuya Edgar. Once they already have it, everything on this resort is already perfect!

Our 3-night stay at Blue Sea Star was one of the best experiences we've ever had on a trip. There are only two cottages at the resort, and ours had a fantastic view of the sea and sunset. Cynthia, our very warm and accomodating host, went the extra mile when our flight was cancelled at the last minute; she was able to book ferry tickets for us for the next day. She was an amazing cook, and knew how to use simple ingredients to create a feast. As we are vegetarians, we can truly say that she understood what it means to cook good vegetarian food -- perhaps even some of the best food we've ever had from a hotel or resort. She also ordered some tuba (coconut toddy) for us, and arranged a motorized tricycle to take us to a sandy beach nearby. If you truly want to relax and enjoy the tranquility of a simple and lovely island, this is the place to chill out, appreciate nature's bounty and reboot!

We had a great 3 nights here. The resort is right on the beach and perfect spot to watch the sunset from. The room was spacious and clean with a really good shower, a comfortable bed and 2 balconies, one of which had a sea view. The restaurant area looks out on the sea and had lovely freshly prepared food throughout the day. A nice touch were the board games that could be borrowed to play. We stayed in high season and the beach was almost devoid of tourists (at any one time there would be no more than 5 other tourists in sight and often we had the beach to ourselves). The water is beautiful and there is snorkeling gear for hire. One day we walked across the island to San Jose and its stunning White Beach was equally devoid of tourists. This island and resort was exactly what we needed after a few days in crowded Boracay over Chinese New Year. We had such a nice time here that I almost don't want to write a review so we can keep the place to ourselves! Hopefully be back next year.

We stayed for 1 week in a 4 bed dorm. Rooms are easy furnished and very clean and you get a batterie for the fan, because you've only in the evening electricity. Best thing: it's allowed to use the kitchen. Only a few min walk to small shops. Carabao Island is the the opposite to Boracay. It's quiet and a easy way of life. The locals are so lovely and relaxed. We love this place! It is the best place to calm down. There is a diving school and you can rent kayaks. The owner is a amazing guy, who can tell you a lot of funny stories. We had a awesome time, thank you!

We stayed at this beautiful place during new years eve and had had some amazing, really relaxing days before our trip to Boracay. Our first plan was to stay just for 2 nights, but after arriving we immediately decided to extend our stay for 5 nights. Chiara served really delicious, self-made food all day, Flavio warned us to get addicted to her tagliatelle and he was true... Both are of great hospitality, we can definetely recommend this place to everyone searching for a place to chill and enjoy some cozy days combined we short day trips across Romblon. Daniel

The place is an hour away from the port of odiongan. And the only way to get there is by tricycle which cost 500 pesos. The place is in front of a very clean and clear beach with a very beautiful spot for sunset. Peter and Uwe are very nice and friendly people. Including the staff who always prepares our food. This is a place where you can relax and feel that you are just staying with your relatives, away from pollution and noise of the city. They also rent motorbikes for 600 pesos. Over all I highly recommend these place.. PS: thanks for the good steak during my birthday Notes: bring your own goggles and swimming shoes.. There are a lot of fishes and corals in the area good for snorkelling but be careful with the sea urchins.. You can also rent snorkelling gears on the neighboring hotel

Our group booked Morel's Private Island Resort for our stay in Romblon as the ASEAN Holiday in Metro Manila was taking place. We did not expect the serenity we experienced here, with the simplicity of living in a remote province and away from the toxicity of the city. Mr. Mark Morel, the owner, is so hospitable to guests. He personally took charge of our requests. His staff, Kuya Eddie and Kuya Anoy, were also nice to us. We enjoyed living in a cottage near the shore. We also enjoyed the less touristy, less adulterated version of Boracay in Carabao Island. Happy with our sun-kissed skins and of our great memories in Romblon, a million thanks to Mark and company!

I had a very pleasant 2 night stay at the Dream Paradise. Though the facility is particularly geared to large groups, as a solo traveler, the owner and her staff went out of their way to make sure the I had a nice stay. The staff really were terrific and a real pleasure to deal with. The facility itself is very large with terrific views over the rice fields and lovely sunsets. It is a bit off the main road but only a short walk or trike ride to the beaches. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend the Dream Paradise to anyone and especially to groups.

They have a separate cafe that provides quality angus beef burgers or premium food. You can have a good meal here or for those shoestring travellers, a local food shop is within a stone throw away. The port that gets you to this lodge is within walking distance. Staff will assist you with bike rentals and suggested activities. Overall, I had pleasant experience here with their hospitality and helpful family & staff.

Marlin Bar Restaurant and Accommodation is just 3 kilometers from the Romblon Port (around 10 minutes tricycle ride). Although the place has no good beachfront, the Bonbon beach is just a ten minute walk from Marlin Bar and the beachfront and sandbar is spectacular (be sure to book your trip during a low-tide season). The place only has 2 rooms, one has his own toilet & bath while the other has none (you have to use a common bathroom), hence you have to make sure you reserve the room with the bathroom. Room rates are cheap, but are cozy and clean. The staff, with special mention to Jola, were very earn and hospitable. Food pricing is just right, they may be a bit pricey but since the servings are huge, you still get your money's worth. Overall, Marlin Bar is highly recommended when in Romblon!

It was our first time on the island and didn't know anything aside from reviews from other people. This place is great if you want to get away from the noise, pollution and crowded city. Ateng bantay was so nice and accommodating. She even toured us to Binucot beach riding on motorcycles. Her cooking was awesome too. Just request for any meal and pay once you're about to checkout. I loved the experience on the beachfront during low tide..so many sea creatures that indicate their coast is still clean. Sea urchins, star fish, different shells were everywhere..you can eat them if you like, at no cost, which is expensive in restaurants. I got excited when I saw their little boat that you can rent for 100/hr. Unfortunately, I was not able to rent it since we lacked time to do so. The only issue I had was the salty shower...but tolerable. I'd definitely go back if given a chance.

It’s not difficult to get to Tablas. Just book with Cebu Pacific and get picked up by the resort from the airport — easy! Drive to the resort is about an hour and 15mins. There’s so much to see so it’s not going to be a boring ride. The resort is what it is in the photos. It’s quiet and the water is serene and clear. The restaurant and bar offers a wide range of choices from food and drinks so there’s really a lot for you to choose from. They also offer the catch of the day which was lapu-lapu during my stay. I had it grilled side with vegs! You can go snorkelling, paddle-up boarding, there’s a few bar games too such as pool, table tennis, darts, cards against humanities, uno and the likes. The happy hour selections, beers and cocktails are also good! Lastly, my stay was made extra special by the staff and the managing/owner Kasha. I felt so at home. It’s the people that makes a place feel like home so thank you once again Tablas Point. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We had a great stay at this hotel in Romblon. The staff were super helpful especially armand, apple and all the servers at the restaurant. The managers were also there to accommodate us. Our room was also upgraded to the cliff villa. There was a bit of inconsistency with the food but considering that it was their soft opening, it was totally excusable. We had free breakfasts and boat transfers as well. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay a lot. Hoping to come back very soon!
