Ilocos Norte Province hotels & places to stay

My family stayed here during our stay in Ilocos Norte. The staffs were great and very friendly. The rooms are a little bit old but clean. The breakfast buffet is okay. There are lots of activities with reasonable prices while in the resort - golfing, ATV, archery, mini Zoo, swimming in the pool or at the beach, my family enjoyed a lot. Check in is great but it took me a while to check out because credit card wire/wireless communication. They need to improve this. Overall, this is a great place to stay while in Ilocos.

This is one of my best bookings so far, I am originally from the Philippines and took my fiancee to see the country for the first time and she loved every minute of our stay there. Mon the owner was great and accommodating together with the staff and the resort dogs that lives there! We stayed for two days and got to enjoy Ilocos Norte food from the resort, enjoy the beach and have drinks! Location is a prime place to explore the area even if you just want to drive around. Will come back again to stay next trip back!

This was our first time in Ilocos Norte. We spent three nights at the resort. The accommodation and the service were all outstanding, The food was great and all staff was very friendly. Chad, the person in charge was very helpful and he helped us to organize our outings around the region and gave us very useful tips and advice. We can only recommend Casa Consuelo Resort to all who plan a trip to Ilocos Norte. There are nice beaches close to the resort as well therefore you do not miss out on the beach experience just because Ilocos Norte is north of Manila.

We booked 1 family room good for 8 pax. we celebrated my bf's birthday in Ilocos Norte for the long weekend with fam. Part of the family are fur babies. We have 2 shih tzus and beagle. We made sure that we are responsible fur parents so we can come back. We had their cages/playpen our dogs can stay with us in our room Brandy the beagle wore a diaper coz she's not well trained yet. yep. our dogs stayed inside our rooms. how cool is that. We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. If you have elderlies with you just make sure to call them and ask if they can assign you to 1st floor to be sure. Good thing since there are no other guest booked for those dates they gave us bigger room good for 10 pax on first floor. Real value for money. Friendly staff. Overall their facilities are okay. Each rooms have toiletries, AC is cold enougj for yhe room, hot and cold shower. no bidet tho. Ample supply of towels, personal ref, cable tv. they have their own resto and food is at a very reasonable price. Their food is okay too. Very thankful to this pet friendly hotel we are able to enjoy travelling with our beloved pets. Will surely recommend to other fur parents. Happy camper :)

The hotel is just 5 to 10 minutes away from the center of Laoag City; the facility itself is right across a big commercial mall within a quite big developing complex where a traveler could find food restaurants and bar junctions for the night. Room is cozy designed best for the young, busy travelers. Cost is not so pricey, just enough for a city rate in San Nicolas-Laoag or a province in Ilocos Norte. Well-maintained and clean. Service staff at the front desk as well as at the breakfast buffet restaurant are amiable and attentive. I would love to return and stay here when I come back to Ilocos Norte.

Great location on the beach. We spent most days exploring other areas in Ilocos Norte and came back for a late arvo swim at the beach. Food choices are limited and there are more options at other resorts along the beach. Our days were full of activities elsewhere and by the time we got back each day we just wanted to rest up and crash so accommodations were adequate for our purposes. Facilities to dry out swimming gear would have been useful as well.

My husband and I stayed i Pannzian for 2 nights. We are planning to come back for 5 nights the next trip. The best food we had in Ilocos. They have their own garden. We met Bing. She told us the story of how the resort started, how they train the staff and how they plan new items in the menu. They have friendly dogs Labang, Mucho and Lance. Mucho guided us to the river. Lance was my husband's life guard while my husband was in the ocean. There is so much history in this property. My high hope is that they will not change!!!! The staff are very friendly. Bing and to her staff thank you! We will come back!

plaza del norte hotel is such a first class hotel in laoag. we were so amazed of its facilities and the hotel staffs were so welcoming. the hotel's location is very accessible to ilocos norte's tourist spots like malacanang of the north, laoag city, batac-marcos museum, paoay church, and paoay sandunes. however, the hotel should improve thier menu and food selection especially that the location is not accessible for other restaurants. nonetheless, the experience was very delightful and we would like to go back soon.

Though great and modern hotels in saud beach are scarce, still you go there for the beach and location. so for a budget hotel this is already great. I do recommend that you just check in here if you just wanna spend time in the beach. after that if your gonna roam around ilocos you can check in somewhere else, since this is a bit far from many tourist spots in ilocos. Wifi is not great. But reception for data is still good. we never tried the food but they serve classic ilocos delicacies. if you are on a budget and looking for a place to sleep in saud. This is already great. if you don't mind having a few 2 minute walk to the beach.

Booked a 1 night stay here to fill a gap in our little Ilocos tour. It has many good Agoda reviews so I wasnt concerned and I knew it wasnt on the beach so was aware of that..but it IS NOT a short walk away. As a group of 4 we were the only ones staying. I heard it had a pool supplied by mountain water which was great since no beach. However, they decided to empty the pool(s) and clean them and were still filling back up when we arrived..so, no pool. Very disappointed, esp. since no beach. The pool area surrounds are still being built so are a bit of a construction site. When finished (and pools filled) it will be great. The 2 cottages we booked were clean and comfortable with good aircon and a decent shower. We all slept well. The meal at dinner was outstanding and the best of our week away. It really felt like we were being hosted by the owner and the food was ultra delicious. Breakfast too was very tasty.

Best place to stay in Paoay. Tranquil and quiet, good for relaxation. The room is big and clean. Lobby is very spacious. Food is great and the chef is a very nice guy. And the staffs are pleasant and accomodating. A little downside is the road leading to the place is still under construction and have ants crawling in the pillow. Otherwise, still a standout during our ilocos road trip.

To sum it all up: PROS 1. Very near Laoag City Center - by car, it only takes 2 minutes to the city center (without traffic) - since tricycles are passing by the highway, it's pretty easy to commute from the hotel as well - all you have to do is walk 5 meters from the hotel to the highway. 2. Minimalist-modern design rooms - the room assigned to us was pretty new. We we're given the Triple Sharing room with an extra double bed so 5 of us could fit in. I have to commend the fixtures of their bathrooms as well as the aircondition and cable TV. I'm quite picky when it comes to bathrooms but I enjoyed their rain shower - I only wished there's a glass divider for the toilet but overall I'm satisfied. 3. Good size parking space - some rooms have their own private parking slot covered with curtains which I find really nice. We we're assigned to the outdoor parking but we're very much satisfied with it. Much better than other hotels who only offer street parking. 4. Reasonable rates - self-explanatory. Check out Laoag City Center hotel rooms for 5 people via Agoda/Booking.com and you'll know what I mean. CONS 1. Staff needs more training - since the hotel is pretty new, I have a feeling that the staff are still pretty much trying to find a way to smoothen out their operations. During one of the nights we stayed, they were fully booked but I heard other customers complaining about the lack of pillows and blankets. We always have these basic necessities in our car so we didn't have a problem but I totally understand that it should be at least mandatory for every room - especially if you have a head count of the people checking-in. 2. Jollibee breakfast - not that I hate Jollibee or anything but I just wished that they had a variety of options apart from the usual pancake/hotdog rice meal from Jollibee for breakfast. Also, on our 2nd day, we had problems with our breakfast - despite having told our orders the night before - yet the hotel staff

we stayed for three nights at balay da blas and were quite satisfied with the service, location and room size. the hotel is away from downtown and the traffic of laoag city center, but the walk to attractions is only 15 minutes. the hotel was efficient in arranging a couple of full day, private tours for us, and all charges were consolidated on one bill. there is free wifi access, although as in most of the philippines the bandwidth is constrained, but we were able to handle e-mail and flight check-ins. since the property was patterned after a mexican hacienda, the eating area is a lovely patio in the courtyard. we would definitely stay here on future ilocos norte trips.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise indeed: a diamond in the rough for such a far out place as Ilocos. It is a short 8 minute walk to the new Robinson's Mall in San Nicolas, which is also where you can pick up a bus, Jeepney or trike for going anywhere you may want in Ilocos. It also has s very friendly staff willing to help with anything you might want or need. All-in-all I recommend Farm House to anyone traveling north for vacation.

We booked the two queen sized bed. It is really queen sized! The hotel is instagam worthy! The bathroom has big space. The breakfast foods are value for money. The staffs are nice. Near to the city just 5 mins from the capitol. Our room don't have mirror and shelves because it is newly build room since its peak season they decided to use it but they will upgrade the new rooms eventually. I saw some tiny cockroach? and I recommend to turn off the light outside the room since the province has some 'kulisap'- flying insects, and they are attracted to the lights.

Guests' reviews matters. We were on a 7day roadtrip. When I was about to book a room for our Laoag-Paoay stay, it was between 2properties.Veranda Suites and the other one which is in the downtown area of Paoay. Before booking, I read all the recent reviews. Quiet place, hotel-like amenities and linens, professional and friendly staff.. Indeed it is! With a amazing view of Paoay lake from their restaurant. Highspeed internet and breakfast provided. We would definitely be back. And a big plus, they accept pets as long as ur furbaby is potty trained or will be wearing diaper within their premises. Thank u Veranda Suites team for making our stay truly memorable and relaxing. :) Tip: we booked our room thru Agoda. Best price plus additional 5% discount if u use ur BDO credit/debit card.

Went on a road trip with 2 girls friends, and initially we wanted to spend our first night in Ilocos in Laoag. However, we didn't find anything interesting (we wanted quaint, cozy and definitely not a convention-center sort of place). I'm glad we didn't limit ourselves to Laoag because Casa Dona Emilia met all our requirements! There's free parking in front, it's right next to a 7-11 and it's right across the Paoay church. Staff were very friendly. In fact, the driver that we hired for the sand dunes was the brother of one of the kitchen staff, and we had a great time! There isn't much night life or activity in Paoay itself, but we were actually looking for that kind of peace and quiet. At night, we stuffed ourselves silly with empanadas and other street food at the street behind the church and took in the wonderful views of the church in the night time. It's also very pretty at night and well-illuminated. I would recommend Casa Dona Emilia B&B for a quaint, boutique-hotel type of experience in a lovely quiet town!

Overall stay was good. The place is new and can still have improvements along the way in terms of facilities and services (probably a shuttle from the bus station?). Staff are exceptionally friendly and very accommodating, so thumbs up for that. They also offer affordable van rentals for tours to Vigan and Pagudpud, which was a relief for us because we had a DIY trip. For our first day we opted for a tour in Vigan. Unfortunately the driver we had was very rude and did not communicate with us at all. For our tour to Pagudpud the next day, we requested a new driver. The staff were understanding and accommodated our request. The new driver was definitely better and friendlier.

We got sidetracked in Vigan during our trip to Ilocos and had to inform the hotel several times that we will be arriving late. Even before this, I have been calling for various reasons such as for possible trip packages around town and confirming our reservation. I am very glad the staff was very polite and answered all my questions. Upon arrival, we expected a modest, native style room (based on the picture they have in here) but we're welcomed to a very clean and modern room with enough space for us to roll around the floor. A big thumbs up for that. It's more of a small transient inn so don't expect restos and spa centers. You have to coordinate with the staff if you want to eat there. They'll be happy to serve you with smiles. In general, it was a happy trip and the hotel made it even better. If you want a quiet retreat after a busy tour around the city, come here. It's a definite recommendation for me :-)
