A good hotel in a great location which is great value. My room was spacious with very good bathroom facilities. The lobby is nice and the WiFi is good. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff friendly.

7.2Very good
The accommodation is decent for the price. The hygiene is also fine. There are no cups or a refrigerator in the accommodation. The breakfast was acceptable as well. However, a staff member named Maggie (who seems to be Chinese) at the reception was very unfriendly, which made my first day in Manchester unpleasant.

I was in Manchester on Bank Holiday Monday for a Pixies gig and the City trophies parade, deciding not to endure the M6 traffic from North Lancs I booked the hotel last minute. Great location, a few minutes walk from Oxford Road Station and about a minute from St Peter's Square. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the lobby/bar area looked bright and spacious. My room (which was a twin) was clean and comfortable with a decent TV with good storage space It was described as a budget hotel and there was no kettle , but as I wasn't in my room much it wasn't really an issue. The only real issue with the room was that the toilet was a bit 'pokey' and was seperate to the bathroom. Others have mentioned limited breakfast choices, I felt it was fine, the usual cooked options plus bread, cheese, ham , cereals, yoghurt etc..(there were also pancakes which only noticed as I was leaving). The price was very reasonable for a City centre hotel (I think I paid less than £60 for B+B ). I would happily stay again at that price.

“Exceptional”
It is a value-for-money hotel. Upon checking in early, I could check in right away, even though the official check-in time is 3 PM. I arrived at noon without any additional charge. The room was cleaned, but it might not have been done perfectly since the staff had to manage several rooms. The shower was reasonably sized, not too small but not too large either, clearly separated from the toilet. There was a small refrigerator that worked well. The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to go anywhere and find places to eat.
