“Great value with some minor gripes”
The value is honestly pretty hard to beat considering the central location and proximity to public transportation. The rooms themselves are large and comfortable, even if the shower and tiling is a bit on the older side. Despite some signs of age on the walls and flooring, the hotel seemed relatively clean and tidy during my short stay. If you're paranoid about dirty floors, you can request slippers from the front desk as they don't provide them in the rooms themselves. I think the sound-proofing complaints are valid, but the neighboring rooms during my stay were thankfully seldom too loud. One extremely minor nitpick is that the A/C blows towards the head of the bed while sleeping, which means it can get cold assuming you leave it on overnight (which you should in the summer honestly). Additionally, there was a faint scent of cigarette smoke in my room on the first night despite my room (and the hotel I think) being strictly non-smoking. I would guess it's from people outside the hotel but I'm sure the staff would be receptive to changing rooms if it's a big deal for you. Overall, if you're planning on being out 90% of the day and want a homebase with great value, I'd highly recommend a short- to medium-length stay at this hotel!
