"The rooms are very nice size for Hong Kong and fairly priced compared to other areas of HK. The bedding and bed itself are very comfortable and not hard like so many other hotels in HK. Bathroom and shower nice size and clean and new. Room nicely decorated and fresh, new and very nice in my opinion. Has 2 vending machines in lobby that take Octopus card and cash. Location would be biggest issue unless you mainly plan to stay in Kowloon Bay. However Kowloon Bay MTR is a moderate walk from the hotel ( not close, but definitely walkable in 15 min for someone in good health ). From Wanchai/Causeway Bay there are night buses for HK14 that will get you close enough to walk back after MTR shuts down ( N121 and Kwun Tong Mini Buses). Cab from HK Island/Wanchai about HK100, but savings on hotel are much more. Harder to find 24 hour 7-11 as most near hotel close at night. 24 hour McDonalds a bit farther then MTR located in Amoy Gardens complex."

"The overall stay was enjoyable, but there was 1 thing that could be improved. Even though the hotel was prepaid in full, they required a $1,000 deposit. First of all, this amount is very high, and second, it seems strange to require so much deposit when there is no risk of the customer skipping out on the bill. The hotel said it was for in case we damage the room via smoking or something (we don’t smoke). The biggest problem was that we did not know of this policy, nor did we bring enough cash to cover this exorbitant expense. Had we known of this policy, we would’ve booked elsewhere. The front desk clerk showed us a copy of the Agoda agreement, where the $1,000 deposit is mentioned, but in fine print. There should be a more noticeable warning before the customer pays, asking if they would still like to proceed to payment, knowing there will be a $1,000 cash deposit upon arrival, even after full pre-payment. The warning should also be in bold type, and possibly a color that stands out"

"The hotel is located in an industrial area. Not nearby mtr station & the surrounding are very industrial. But the hotel itself is very new, clean & spacious. Staff were very helpful with professional service. Due to its location, you can get a very quiet sleep at night. Highly recommend this hotel to travellers who want to explore a different side of Hong Kong. Very local & authentic place in a walking distance (Ngau Tau Kok). And the beautifual "back garden of Hong Kong" (Sai Kung) will just take around half an hour if you take the direct minibus from Choi Hung (a place very close to Ngau Tau Kok)"
