Hotels near EDSA LRT Station

We’re going to watch a play in Newport Theatre so we decided to book this hotel. Originally booked twin room, but later had a change of plans so we requested to have 1 big bed instead. Despite confirmation with Agoda Direct Message, the request was not noted when we checked-in. Since no queen room was available according to receptionist, they just merged the 2 single beds. Not that comfortable to sleep in. Room assigned to us was also very dark even with curtains open. The lighting of the room was not that good. Space-wise, it was just as expected, small room with twin beds with just enough space to walk on. Sound-proofing was also not that good. We could hear the baby crying outside, and conversations of those passing by. Basic necessities were provided. Hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast buffet was just okay, nothing exceptional. The dining area was small and it was crowded when we visited so there was queueing. Parking area was also very tricky. There’s no direct access to B3-B5 from lobby so from lobby, you had to tranfer elevator. Quite a hassle. Location was good though. Very near to Newport. Considering the price of other hotels in the area, this one’s quite cheap (~100USD per night) so I must say we get what we pay for. Recommended if you plan to spend most of the time outside and just have some place to sleep.

This hotel is endorsed by Manny Pacquiao, and supposedly he stays here when visiting this area on Roxas Blvd. I immediately got the royal treatment when stepping out of my taxi during rainy conditions. Hotel staff came running at me to cover me with an umbrella since there was no canopy from the street to the entrance. Hotel is attached to a casino and overall reminds me of one of those grand Las Vegas strip hotels. Marble, chrome, chic furniture, and extra professional staff to make you feel like royalty. They'll go out of their way to get you anything. They pay careful attention to customer service. The room was very spacious even with a King sized bed. The room came with a pretty large sized balcony expanding the useable space even more. The bed was really comfortable with top of the line beddings and pillows. You will want to sleep in this bed beyond your anticipated wake up time. The free wifi was good but not top speed. The breakfast buffet was excellent, complete with made to order pancake and omelet stations. Upon checking out they noticed my flight was later in the day and encouraged me to do a late check out at 2:00pm at no extra charge. With all the aforementioned top customer service, they include free Mall of Asia shuttles to and from the hotel in 2 hour increments throughout the day. Overall, best deal since I paid 3-4 star prices for what seemed like a 5 star experience.

found this gem of an offer on agoda and booked it because of the location and the price. no regrets whatsoever and had great value for money. very professionally managed and had nice clean rooms. very near the malls of asia, one of the biggest in asean region. food, nightlife, shopping all under one roof. the hotel was located at the other end of edsa highway and was close enough to the business district in makati but had to brave the traffic jams to get there. but after saying this, all highways/roads in manila had terrible traffic jams every time of the day. near enough to manila bay and the other touristy areas.

I've stayed here a number of times, and it is a good value alternative to the more expensive Heritage Hotel next door. The location is ideal, being 15 minutes from the airport in traffic, long walking distance to the mall of Asia and just across the street from the EDSA Entertainment complex for single men. The rooms are really clean and newly remodeled, but some of the bathrooms smell of mildew. There are no room safes. The staff are all really nice, the restaurant is inexpensive with OK food. This is a good value 3 star hotel.

Stayed for 4D/3N as my base while attending an MD Convention. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I was given a room at the 21st Floor with a veranda (although the aircon compressor is located there blowing warm air), which offered an awesome view of the city. My Studio Suite was very large and spacious with a comfortable queen bed, a cable tv, a personal ref, a 2-seater sofa, a wardrobe cabinet, and a desk. The bathroom had a bathtub and hot and cold shower with free basic toiletries. The booking came with a Free Buffet breakfast with decent menu which they changed everyday. There are 2 floors of Free Basement Parking Spaces. It is also located beside a small mall. And there are many fast food restaurants around. It is also next to 3 (south-bound) provincial bus terminals, and an LRT Station. The only negative about this hotel are: the safety deposit box is broken, the linens and towels were worn out although freshly smelling. The aircon is also outdated but quiet.

I chose the hotel for its convenience and price (I have stayed at the neighboring Marriott Hotel a few times), but since I was staying longer this time and not really concerned about the amenities of a Five-Star accommodation, I was quick to book the Remington - and found it to be a very good hotel (my room was better than a 3-star rating, the lobby is great with a very good coffee bar, parking is easy - except the hotel did not have room service, a business center, gym nor a pool). It is conveniently located by the airport, with easy access to other parts of Metro Manila (because of its proximity to highways - I was amazed how quickly I got around). The Megaworld Casino next door with its accompanying restaurants and high-end shopping is a great plus.

Hotel is new yes, but the staff is highly professional, warm, and very accommodating - just what is expected from Filipino professionals in the hospitality industry. We’re only supposed to get 2 tickets, but the front desk manager gave us 3.. then when I asked for some more, he happily gave us his own ticket!! Hehehe! Each ticket costs P1,000 so this is a sweet deal! + Gave us P400/head discount for the buffet breakfast. Original price: P900/head. + Free shuttle service to and from Newport Mall. + Allowed for late check out for free, no conditions needed!!! Just call the client services desk in the morning. + Clean, modern rooms. Very peaceful. I had a good night’s sleep despite our room facing the busy NAIA skyway. + Food and bar inside the room are priced reasonably.

The hotel is located within a PHP200 taxi ride from the international airport.. Located in a very busy location just next to the EDSA LRT station from which u can get to the city and many of its attractions. The shopping centre adjoining the LRT station named Metropoint however is really very congested and I was pick pocketed of my mobile phone while having dinner there.. There seems no proper restaurant near the hotel and Metropoint is the closest one can get a bite to eat. Be extremely careful if u are to visit this shopping centre...

I read so many terrific reviews of The Henry that my wife and I just had to give it a try on the second half of our Manila stay. I can only say that the hotel and staff exceeded our expectations in every way possible! We arrived early for check in with our adult son, who was staying for just a few days. After a really impressive lunch and a tour of the grounds our rooms were ready. Our son’s room was a spacious ground floor room and ours was on the second floor in the back. Both rooms were beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and well-appointed with spa quality soaps, and towels! The queen size beds were comfortable. Since it was the second half of our time in Manila we were a bit more laid back and wanted a hotel with an ambiance to match our mood. This was the place! Sit at the outdoor tables and a waiter will ask if you want a meal or a marienda, or just a drink of water. No pressure, no rush, just good service. Stroll the lush grounds take a book and sit near the pool or under a shady tree. Or if you want some shopping, there are three galleries with amazing treasures and helpful staff. Looking for that last minute souvenir? Try Honest Henry, a self-service shop in the hotel – yes, pick your item and leave your money in the box! We purchased two wonder necklaces at very reasonable prices. There are two parts to the location, a plus and a minus. The plus is that if you time the traffic just right (Manila traffic is always the issue anywhere in the city) you are 15 minutes from the Mall of Asia, Seaside Blvd. and if you are feeling lucky there are mega casinos nearby! And best of all depending on the time of day you can get to Aquino Airport in half an hour. Those are the neighborhood plusses, but on the down side, the neighborhood is not especially conducive to strolling and exploring. We only stayed here one evening, and would have liked to have stayed longer but unfortunately they were fully booked for next night. We had just arrived in Manila from El Nido so it only took about 10 minutes by taxi to get to the hotel. The lobby was very modern and the actual deluxe room we had with two twin beds was very spacious and clean. There was a fridge, hair dryer and kettle and the WIFI was excellent. The pool did not look very inviting so I never tried this out. Although we were under the flight path, we never heard any noise as we were overlooking the pool and the windows were double glazed. The location was on the main street, close to the Baclaran market, the LRT station and about 20 minutes to the SM Asia Mall. Staff were polite and very professional.

Me and my sister would always book in this hotel and we we're so happy that they opened a branch convenient to airport. The best thing on this hotel is the cleanliness of the hotel with a very accomodating staff..hopefully there will be a mall attached to it as most of there branches got malls on it...some entertainment room like billiards, bars or videoke with an affordable charges for all guest...

The hotel's location is very close to the MRT and LRT stations (Taft Avenue / EDSA stations) so it's a good place for those who would be travelling around manila using those rides. The staff are kind and helpful. The room is clean and nice and has : -complimentary water with glasses -a small closet with hangers -a TV with good selection of channels -aircon -two small tables (one is more of a "dressing" table considering the mirror at the wall) -a small refrigerator -complete toiletries -CR with bidet and consistent water supply -Shower with hot/cold options -A thick blanket and a lot of pillows There's also a sportsbar and swimming pool at the 8th floor but sadly I haven't got the chance to check those out in my recent stay so I'll have to check those when I get the chance to stay here again.

i booked a 3-day stay at this hotel as a base while i visited friends. i particularly wanted to be near the mall of asia, since that was a convenient spot for my friends. malate is full of hotels in this price range, but the airport/mall of asia area has few. it was a quick cab ride to the hotel from the 5-star bus terminal at EDSA and Tramo. when i arrived around 4pm, i was told to wait for a moment because my room was not yet ready. before i finished the check-in procedure, the room became available, so there was no delay in checking in. when getting to my room, i noticed that the chain lock was broken, so i returned to the front desk to ask for a new room. instead they sent maintenance to the room to repair the lock. i would have rather just had a new room, but i was not terribly inconvenienced as i simply sat in the lobby and checked email for the 15 minutes or so that it took to repair the lock. i was quite impressed with the room given what i had read on the internet. the beds were quite comfortable. they use foam mattresses, which is common here in the philippines, so the firmness will vary. a newer mattress will be more firm than one that has seen a lot of use, but it was certainly not a hard mattress. the windows are covered with solid wood shutters that, when closed, block out almost all light from the bright manila sky. that is great for those travelers looking to recover from jet lag after a long flight. it also provides complete privacy. the water does not get HOT hot like we are used to in the USA, but it was warm enough to not cause a heart attack from the shock. i had no problem with the water. the TV had cable, including CNN, Fox News, Al Jazeera, ESPN, and others. i was happy to watch the BCS championship game there live. the wi-fi in the lobby is a bit spotty, but this is the philippines. that will happen even at a 5-star resort. one day the network was down, so the staff gave me the password to the corporate interne

For just 500 pesos more than Red Planet, you get sooooo much more! 2 free breakfast, HUGE room, California King bed, large bath with tub, couch sitting area next to window to do work. Also discount at their famous Kenko Spa and massage. Japanese style hot, warm, cold jacuzzis with multiple aqua massage stations, sauna, then 1 hour massage for 600 pesos.. Simply the best place for less than 3000 pesos all in. Best place to recharge for night activities!

This hotel is without doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It evevn exceeds hotels 5 times its price. Staff go out of thier way to be friendly and please customers. Breakfast is the best in the world i have ever had. Despite being donw a side road and there fore not obvious from the main road, its location is very convenient to everything. 5 minutes walk to MRT/LRT station. HINT: Be wary of Taxi drivers keen to rip you off.

Overall, very good stay. As usual, I had a problem with the taxi driver putting the meter on. After asking him 3 times I yelling at him to *&^&%^%&*^ meter on and he did as I'm not a small guy. He didnt leave saying that I owed him pesos because he paid the guard it. The hotel was going to pay it and I declined to let them. Very kind of them. I went outside and got his licence #, his taxi licence #, his name as they were all posted on the front windshield. I then lodged a complaint against this taxi driver online. Just type in Taxi and Manila and Complaint. The area isn't great but very close to the LRT station. Would I come back to this hotel, yes I would, as I very much enjoyed the staff.

Located inside the Salem complex literally across from terminal 4, I find this hotel to be great option for a late night arrival or quick overnight. I travel to manila pretty frequently and found SGD to be the best of all the nearby hotel options. Keeping in mind it is a 1-star hotel, it's decent for what it is. The staff is pretty on top keeping the shower and the restrooms in decent order. And they're always more than willing to accommodate all of my requests. As far as food goes, there are a number of options within the complex. There are even a couple of bars for the night owls. Although they do have a few rooms that can accommodate families. I would say the place is geared more towards the solo budget traveler. Just try to not to compare it to a resort or 5 star hotel and SGD shouldn't disappoint. Safe travels!

The place was accessible and very near to the airport and MRT/LRT Station. however, there was no lift/elevator in the building but there are bellboys who can assist in case you have luggage. during my 2 stay, unfortunately there was no internet connection in the room due to maintenance and wifi is only available in the reception lobby (am in 3rd floor). other than that, if you only plan to stay there and relax and stay temporarily while waiting for your flight, its a good one.

Stayed here for 1 night just because we have a stop over in manila for 10hrs overnight. They provide a free shuttle service to and from the airport (removes the hassle of dealing with taxis). The hotel was only a few minutes to and from the airport which gives us more sleeping time. Hotel and room itself was clean and comfortable (not 5 star, but certainly better than what we paid for). We have stayed in transit hotels near the airport in manila before, this one so far is the best one for the value you get and comfortability. We will definately be using this hotel again should the need arises in Manila.

The 1st and only 6-star hotel to date in the Philippines, so I decided to try it out. When I got there, I searched around for the check-in area/concierge with no luck, until a guard pointed me to a small table by the staircase where 3 people were standing. I asked them where the check-in area was--turns out, that was the concierge. I asked them if they got my reservation via Agoda, which they confirmed, then told me to check-in around 2pm. I had lunch and returned 2pm, only to find the check-in table empty. The guard told me to wait by the table. After awhile, several staff members seemed to have noticed me and another customer who was waiting to check in, and you could see them moving around frantically and talking in their cellphones and radios. Despite paying a lot of money, I let slip the "invisible" check-in table, even the waiting time of 20 minutes because there was nobody in the concierge. What turned me off was the fact that other personnel noticed us waiting and did not entertain us. They looked disorganized. No seats were around so I was standing up the whole time, looking lost and stupid as I watched the staff panic around me. The other customer who was also waiting got tired and sat at the cafe nearby, and I was tempted to do the same even though the tables had signs that said "for the cafe customers only". The staff could have simply approached me and made sure I was comfortable while they sort things out. If they didn't have a comfortable waiting area, they could have seated me in the cafe and maybe even offered me a drink while I wait. A simple gesture such as this could've "controlled" the situation. If this was a 3-star hotel, I wouldn't mind, but this was a 6-star, I expected only the best. After all, it is the service that sets apart 5-star hotels, and I had never experienced this in 5-star hotels. Despite the lousy start, once I was in, everything was perfect--best service(excluding check in), design, and features I have seen so far.

Booked a room at this hotel through Agoda.com for a 6-hour layover for my husband, eight-year-old daughter, & myself last Sep. We came off a long flight & needed a place to rest before catching the 3AM bus via Genesis Transport the next day. (Unfortunately, the Sogo Hotel next to Genesis Bus Terminal in Pasay was fully booked then.) The hotel is old, but the lobby & our room on the G/F were clean. We had two single beds, private shower, & tv. It was very cramped when we opened our two large suitcases, but, given the low rate, it isn't something I'd complain about. Bathroom was clean as well. There were towels, soap, and shampoo provided & hot water for a shower, but, sadly, pressure was low. Though others have complained about noise from the Victory Liner Bus Terminal next to the hotel, I wasn't bothered. My family had a restful sleep. Dining options are very limited to the cafeteria on site. The food, though inexpensive, was unappealing so we went to the mall next to LRT/MRT Taft EDSA Station for dinner. Catching a jeep to the mall was easy, but returning to the hotel was a hassle. We had to cross EDSA via MRT Station (which was very crowded due to rush hour), take a jeep and get off across the hotel, & cross EDSA via pedestrian overpass, which was dark, dirty, & unsecured. Though commuting back to the hotel from dinner was a nightmare, getting to Genesis Bus Terminal was a breeze. The hotel had a 24/7 shuttle available to us. Though more costly than hailing a cab, we felt safer than taking public taxi. Customer service is something I would rave about. Receptionist, bell boy, & shuttle driver were very attentive & helpful specially with handling our luggage & many inquiries. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a short layover before catching a bus (Victory or Genesis) 'cause it's cheap, has basic amenities for a nap and shower, & is very close to the bus terminals. I'd have my meals delivered to the hotel though.

We stayed here for just one night; we requested for early check in however they were full and were waiting for people to check out. They were able to accommodate us at 1:30pm instead of 2pm so that was good. We just waited in the lobby which was small so it was a bit busy. The room itself is nice and clean; perfect for the night. We liked the freebie bag with the toiletries. The hotel is located in a major intersection (EDSA - Taft) and is very close to both LRT and MRT stations which is great; however at night, you can hear some loud honks from the bus. We also heard a lot of hallway chitchats at night. Overall good stay and will maybe come back :)

It's located extremely close to NAIA. Miss Ressel and Miss She were extremely pleasant when they checked me in and out. The apartment was very clean and provided the great amenities and essential toiletries. Really cold air-con and the bed provided a great night sleep. Only caveat I had was that the building did not have record of my reservation and I spent time contacting Agoda to verify. I ended up eating lunch at near by resorts world and when I returned Ressel was there to check me in. I would definitely return!
