“A nice getaway away.”
The location is a bit out of the way, but if you don't mind walking uphill for a bit and about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the train station, I'd say it's a lovely place out of n the suburbs of Japan. There are a few restaurants close by, with a bakery right across the street. The commons area is very large and open, though honestly the AC units look like they haven't been cleaned in years. It's a bit hot anywhere without AC though. The rooms seem nice enough, without making you feel like your a sardine in a can, but I've a few complaints. The curtain doesn't close all the way and there are gaps letting light in. The entrance door needs to be oiled as it squeaked every time someone entered. My bed is right in front of the bathroom, meaning the light was constantly on and I had to listen to people coming and going. People are supposed to use a different shower after 11, but people were showering well past midnight next to my bed. I can also hear cars by the window. So honestly, I didn't get much sleep until after everyone left. I'm not sure how the other rooms are, but I imagine if there is more privacy, than it would definitely be a much nicer stay. As is, it's difficult to say it was restful.
