"The hostel is brandly new, is quite spacious for bunk bed. There is family mart located in front of the hostel. But, before you book this hostel, you must check either you need a visa or not to visit taiwan. Since the hostel is located in the arrival hall, you need to pass immigration first. The hostel should write it on their description. Thankfully i printed my e—visa beforehand. "

"The hotel so near the Taoyuan station and within walking distance to the station. Its also near the Gloria Outlet where we can do last minute shopping before catching our flight back to Malaysia. The bathroom is sparkling clean. This is definitely the best transit hotel I’ve been to. And the rate is quite cheap to be compared to the facilities offered by the hotel. The staff also help us to book our taxi to the airport and most importantly, the did entertain my request for early check in. I definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Overall thats good. We had a local chinese buffet breakfast in the morning. But the breakfast is available from 7am-9am. I think that would be better if the breakfast time is valid till 10am. Coz most of the shops and shopping center in taoyuan are open at 11am. We would like to have a long and good rest, but not wake up in the early morning for the breakfast at 8.30am and spend our time on the tv in the room. But anyway, the quad room is big. Internet speed is fast. Good value of money."

"My friends and I explored Taiwan for four days and Taoyuan Hedo Hotel really gave us our needed rest at the end of our every trip. It was clean and the staffs are friendly and very helpful. They speak English so it wasn't hard for us to ask for directions (outside the Hotel is a different story, though. hehe...) The bonus for us was the free shuttle from the hotel to the Taoyuan International Airport and since our flight was early, they thought of having our free breakfast packed to go. It was carefully placed in a nice box with flowers on it and inside were: a juice box, a sandwich, an egg, and an apple. Our hotel experience was -- like what the title says -- a Wonderful Stay!"

"From airport, taxi takes about 20mins ride and costs about slightly less than NT$500. Taxi driver didn't know the hotel so thankfully, booking had hotel address. Hotel is somewhat dated but room was big and wifi reasonable. Breakfast spread was okay and it is near to Hutoushan park, Jingfu temple and the tourist night market (which is smaller than the Zhongli Ximing one - for those who don't know). We didn't know it would be near to the Taoyuan New Year's countdown party at a open park nearby so we had many local revellers staying in the hotel too. The mood at the park was festive and many singers performed and of course, it was very crowded."

Many visitors can enter Taiwan without a visa for short stays, but it’s wise to confirm the regulations that apply to your situation. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date, as this is often a requirement for entry.

Health precautions are also important to consider. While Taoyuan is generally safe, it’s advisable to stay updated on any health advisories. Travelers should ensure they have adequate health insurance that covers medical emergencies. It’s also a good idea to carry a small first-aid kit with basic supplies, especially if you plan on hiking or engaging in outdoor activities. If you have specific medication needs, bring enough for your entire stay, as certain medications may not be readily available.

Lastly, familiarize yourself with local customs and etiquette to enhance your travel experience. Understanding basic Mandarin phrases can be incredibly helpful, as it shows respect for the local culture and can lead to more meaningful interactions. Simple gestures, such as saying "thank you" (*xièxiè*) or greeting someone with a smile, can go a long way. Being polite and respectful of local traditions will make your visit to Taoyuan even more enjoyable.
