Prachinburi hotels & places to stay

This is a review of my 2nd stay at the Serenity Hotel and Spa Onsen.. I was trying to decide to ride straight through to Buriram from Jomtien or stop along the way After my previous very enjoyable stay, I thought that I would stay here again. I’m not sure if Kabinburi is a destination type of town but to me after my first stay, the Serenity Hotel and Spa Kabinburi is a destination. This time I was in a deluxe room. The king size bed was wonderfully comfortable. The room was clean, quiet, and well appointed. There was plenty of storage space, plenty of electrical outlets, and plenty of space for motorcycle gear. The Onsen spa was just as enjoyable and clean as before. I had a massage this time and it was professional. I also swam in the pool which was just as relaxing. Another observation, about the Serenity Hotel and Spa is how quiet it is there. The food and wine at the hotel’s restaurant were delicious as before. The Serenity staff is the best I have seen in Thailand.

Honestly, this was one of the best value for money stays Ive had in Thailand in 20 years. This hotel caters mostly for Japanese Businessmen. Around 70% of their clients are Japanese. So much of the facilities and services have these clients in mind. So there are a fair amount of Japanese TV channels, an outstanding Japanese Style Breakfast, and even a Japanese style toilet, with lots of buttons to play with. (Actually Ill book the room JUST to have that fabulous toilet again.) The rooms are spacious, new and modern, and most have a kitchenette with washing machine, cooking facilities and a nice sized fridge. Staff are friendly and professional and speak good English. We used the hotel as a base to explore the nearby National Parks, all a daytrip away. Own transport is a must, as the surroundings is a typical featureless rural industrial Thai town. On the plus side, there is a Big C close by with a movie theatre. We loved this gem of a hotel and will definitely book again.

We booked here because we wanted to go to the Kao Yai NP. We had a nice time at the family-owned and run resort which is very clean and well maintained. It is quite far out from Prachinburi (7 km) though and there are no restaurants in close distance to walk to. So you more or less need your own car as the area is quite non-touristy and there are no hire car locations in town and only tuk-tuks. The staff was very helpful and organised a driver for two days for us. For a resort and the price, I would expect a bit more variety with their food as there are only two choices for breakfast and they don't offer dinner, which means you have to go somewhere else.

I loved this place. It is primarily a serviced apartment for Japanese businessmen workin in the area but their customer service was incredible. I had rental car mechanical problems that I couldn’t resolve with the rental car company and even though it was not their issue they spent two hours resolving it with me and arranging alternate transportation while we were waiting 3 hours for a new car to be delivered from Bangkok When we walked to. Nearby restaurant without an umbrella and got surprised by a heavy thunderstorm they came running out 100 yards down the drivrmeway with umbrellas when they saw us walking back in the rain. Can’t say enough about their customer service

Prachinburi is not much of a touristic place. Most of the guests are Thai and Japanese business travelers. There are also day trip offering at the front desk with reasonable price including the city tour, water rafting (Prachinburi is famous for its water rafting activity at the national park) as well as the trip to Cambodia. The resorts is located near the industrial area but the hotel provide a very good atmosphere and I did feel like I'm on vacation. The hotel including the room is old but in a good maintenance and very clean. The breakfast buffet is OK serving Thai, Japanese and western style breakfast. The staffs are friendly and helpful but I don't think most of them can speak English. I don't know if they can speak Japanese as their main customers tend to be Japanese. With the price I've paid, I'm satisfied with the hotel.

While visiting a friend in the local town, they recommended The Residence hotel at a budget rate ($20 USD). I must say that I am very impressed with the accommodation for that price. While the building itself is basic, the room is spacious and clean with a King size bed, new modern Samsung TV, patio, small couch, small refrigerator stocked with 2 bottles of water and a decent bathroom. The Wifi works fast. Hotel is central and walking distance to Thai and Japanese restaurants, as well as Massages and Bars. Feels very safe here. Breakfast is included which makes the price even more desirable. The staff is friendly and helpful should you need anything. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Prachinburi or 304 Industrial Business Park.

Booked this last minute for a night as we were going to see family for the day. We usually stay at the serenity just down the road because when we visit we normally stay 3-5 nights and it’s a resort but for 1 night and £25 quid we thought we’d take a chance. First impressions are it’s fairly new and unfinished in the grounds but we were warmly welcomed by a lovely lady at reception and quickly checked in. The room is spotless with a fridge and tv (only Thai channels but great picture quality) tea, coffee, kettle next to a list of fines for things such as menstruated mess 500 baht, taking key of fob (so you can leave air con on while you go out I guess) 500 baht the list was about 20 items which I found more amusing than offensive, decent sized bathroom with reasonable electric shower, 2 pillows not great but very comfy bed. Breakfast isn’t great - home size pot of rice soup, cold eggs and hot dog with a roadster, coffee, juice and water whilst sufficient not mind blowing. The breakfast area as it currently is seats about 12 people but the hotel must have about 60 rooms, fortunately for me it was quiet. Great place to stay if you’re passing through and need a cheap but decent room for a night or if you’re working in the area. For £25 I think it’s as good value as anywhere in comparison and I would stay again for a night or 2 but anything longer and I’d probably pay the (£50-60 a night for a suite) to stay at the serenity where 3 of us comfortably fit in the suite.and theres a beautiful pool and very good breakfast. The difference is substantial but if you’re on a budget or like us an impulse trip this place is great.

Hotel is a little difficult to find being at the end of a small street but otherwise everything was just as it should be for a hotel at reasonable price in this area where hotels tend to over-inflate prices. The room was large and clean and, although no meals were provided, there are plenty good places nearby. The owner/manager was very helpful and she has created a niche for herself by providing a good basic service which leaves the customer feeling happy to have booked here. Adequate parking is available behind the hotel bungalows.

Went for a meeting nearby and have to return to the hotel late at night. There is a security guard at the campus gate and hotel staff on duty at lobby. It is a very quiet area, so having some security is essential. The room is large and clean. No working desk or chair. Otherwise as advertised, cable TV, shower, amenities. Wifi signal was poor.There is no food on sale. Have to come out to community outside. Make sure you get the type of room you booked... executive or standard. The difference is complementary coffee and a hair blower.

Me and my wife was on the way to Chaiyaphum from Huay Yai in Chonburi. We order room the day before because we feel that the long way could be shorter when we sleep one night halfway to Chaiyaphum. Easy to find hotel - and manager welcome us very friendly and give us a brand new room. Room was nice and comfertable. I can absolutely recommend this hotel to car-driving travellers. And we will come back next time we drive same way. Best regards Jan from Norway.

This is our first time to stay in Prachinburi and we chose Dasada Resort. It is very good resort. We can have biking, swimming, watching musical fountain show and more. They were impressed us a lot. The best thing here is unforgettable excellent service. All staffs are really polite and helpful. They are all service-minded staff, very good training. I think resort should change the map in webpage or website to be more clerarer and specific. It is quite confuse for first time driving there.
