Nan hotels & accommodations

I'm a seasoned traveler, traveling extensively in South/Southeast Asia each year for 2-3 months each time(currently based in Laos, teaching English)....but this was my first visit to Nan. Unfortunately, not one of the hotel staff speak any English. The young ladies at the Reception were most charming and tried to be helpful. They only had maps of Nan in Thai - but...

this is the most expensive hotel in nan at the moment. the service is very good and almost everyone speaks good english. the rooms are very small but comfortable. the air-condition works well and is quiet. the hotel is all built of teakwood and has a nice atmosphere. beds are western soft and the room amenities are of a good quality. the hotel staff are interested in t...

The staff was so very nice and friendly. I chose Front Standard room type which quiet old but so big space. I really like the breakfast, soft-boiled rice was extremely delicious. It made me feel like when I was a kid. Anyway, if I have a chance to visit NAN, this resort will be the one of my choice. (I will book another room type and try the best COCOA drinks)

My wife is from Nan, so we go there often and decided to try a new place this time. Nan Sripanna looked great, and in many ways it is. Nice quiet location, spacious well-designed rooms, helpful staff, and great views. BUT... when we came back to the hotel at 5 pm planning to shower and rest before going out to dinner, I was surprised that there was no hot water. My w...

of our 2 week holiday in thailand, this was out favourite overnight stay. it is a better standard than just about any other hotel (exceptions being marriott, hilton etc). resort is marriott-esque with separate buildings for rooms, reception, breakfast, spa, etc. breakfast is in a lovely outdoor setting around lake. pool was difficult to find, due to the size of the res...

Perfect hotel with perfect location. Nice and friendly staffs, they did what im I requested without said no at all. Lovely hotel owner, they are always there at the breakfast to check all guest satisfaction and make sure all your stay is going smooth. The lovely owner also recommended me what to do and where to go, feeling like you are at home Delicious breakfast. A...

Although hotel located really close to the Airport but at night it amazingly quiet (maybe because there is no flight around Nan at night). The room is supper nice luxury and huge. Too bad we checked in quite late so didn't have time for swimming pool and other facility. Only two things which I picked up that worth to mention are some bugs and lizard inside our bathroom...

Wow, I am so glad I booked this hotel after searching for many days online about hotels in Nan. Phumin Place is a beautiful haven, the rooms are huge and so comfortable and the staff are above and beyond helpful. The location is about a 5-second walk to the Night Market and Wat Phumin, but if you want to go further afield, the free bikes on offer are good quality and c...

The hotel is not far from Nan city center on the road to Wat Phradhat Chae Haeng. If you travel by a van with driver like what we did, it is convenient. We also love the breakfast and the hotel ambience. We much appreciate the hotel staff, as they were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The room is big and clean, but the pillows are not that comfortable. However, w...

Booked a Superior Twin for three nights. Hotel seems to be ageing but is clean and well outfitted - bed was comfortable, room included a small fridge, kettle (but no coffee), wardrobe, desk, table and chair, and a balcony overlooking the large clean beautiful pool. TV with no English channels, but that's standard in rural areas like this. No room safe. Bathroom was sma...

The hotel locates near Nan market and major Nan attractions like Wat Phumin and the National museum. It's about 30 minute walk to those attractions. The best thing about this hotel is its owner who made sure we had the most memorable stay in Nan. He and his guest truly lived up to Northern Thai's hospitality! He helped us booked the car to visit nearby national parks w...

Nan We took the AC bus from Chiang Mai to Nan city. Nan province is in the north east of Thailand and borders Laos. Nan city on the river Nan, is a quiet and as it turned out, attractive and extremely clean little city (population about25,000). Nan, apparently, was an independent kingdom into the 20th century and was only fully integrated into Thailand in 1931. Bet...

We have driven around most parts of Nan and Boaklua View is in our view the most ideal location with fantastic roads connecting to Pua and Nan city (fantastic scenaries). Food is great (love the weekday breakfast especially) and service was excellent especially on weekday when there is much less visitors. The resort is pretty quiet throughout the day giving the visitor...

Nan Boutique Hotel has become one of our favourite hotels. This hotel is a little bit far from most of interesting spots like old temples, walking street and cafés. but that makes it so unique. It's so quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool is great. You can look out to the rice field and Nan river. The best part is that they make breakfast fresh every morning such as b...

Dhevaraj Hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were smallish but they were modern looking and nicely done up with good lighting and furniture. Mattresses were very good, not too hard or too soft. Mini-bar available in the room. No tea/coffee making facilities, mini safe or hair dryer in the room. Also only one available power point in the room. Furniture was modern and e...

Amazing view on a hill. Gem of Nan province. I only booked for 1 night, we regret we should stay a few days more. The swimming pool is right in front of the room facing the green scenery. Only 4 rooms, so full of privacy. Very close to the main road

This place is really beautiful as all the interior and furniture in- and outside is very stylish. You can see that the owner has a good eye for style. The Lodge also has a small restaurant/bar where you can enjoy some food and a beer in the nice garden. The room was maybe a bit smaller than other rooms we've seen so far but still big enough and also especially pretty d...

Nan if rapidly expanding in terms of hotels available to travellers, the Rapeepong is well located for sightseeing and some great restaurants are with easy walking distance, namely The Crossroads and Gin Restaurants. Cheap places to stay in Nan

I stayed 2 nites in the twin bunk bed room and 2 nights in the dorm. Both were extremely well designed to meet the needs of travelers. Very simple and clean. Loved the individual reading lamps and outlets in the bunk space to recharge electronics. Each shower stall had its own light and fan. And plenty of privacy. Aircon was great in both rooms. Food only allo...

I spent 2 nights here. The house is seperated into about 7 rooms for travellers. It might be occupied only 1 or 2 rooms on weekdays, you might feel lonely or afriad to stay alone there if that. The location is good to see many attractive places in Nan city. The owner is very nice, she came and picked me up at the house on my check out and drove me to the bus station.

Loved stsuimg here. The town of Nan is mellow and all I did was eat and rest. Nan guest house was the place to do it, especially on the upper roof top with views of the town. Comfortable and clean in a traditional old wood house with addition. Aircon worked well, warm water shower and the water in the bathroom drains well. It's nice they provide water and coffee for ...

A big thank you to the host Marco. The bungalow was very comfortable and very quiet. Too bad that Marco is moving soon. I would come back immediately. Ein grosses Dankeschön an den Gastgeber Marco. Das Bungalow war sehr gemütlich und äusserst ruhig gelegen. Schade, dass Marco demnächst umzieht. Ich würde sofort wiederkommen.

We used to visit this small town many times. We could see good and bad points of these hotels. Fah Place Hotel is one another with good location where we can walk to any places. The owner and staff are friendly. We were leaving early at 05.00 am. The hotel made an impressive morning call both by phone and door knock. Bike rent was easily returned at 05.00 am...

Nan may be the best kept secret in Northern Thailand. It's a beautiful area! My husband and I stayed at Huan Gum Gim Hotel in late December. The room was beautiful and clean. A very nice break from all the budget accommodations we'd gotten used to. The room didn't have a private bathroom but there were two on our floor and they were cleaned regularly. Overall it was a ...

Place is clean with daily cleaning. Staff friendly. No breakfast served but have good noodle soup that is priced fairly. I would recommend renting a car and go to Pua to see beautiful rice fields. The city of Nan is a very clean place and great to explore. Yes, I would stay here again as I just need a place to stay that outs clean, comfortable, and quiet, which this pl...

huen kuang nan is a new family business hotel with reasonable price. it locates right in nan downtown close to wat hue kuang and national museum withing walking distance. standard room provides wireless, cable tv, air-con, hot shower and fridge. thanks to agoda we found this hotel and we will stay here again when we visit nan.

this place is a perfect match with nan province. peaceful, natural, low-key but with much 'sabai.' you should rent a bike in nan anyway, so it wont be hard to get to and from town/guesthouse. you could easily walk from airport if you wanted to. three generations of the family will be there with you. it is just a nice place. i never write reviews but i did for this plac...

Pua is a small town of Nan province. The best time to visit should be when the Chomphu Phuka flower blooms which will be in February. In winter time the weather is also presant. The european chalet style make this hotel differs from any other resorts in this area, actually it is the first hotel in this town. The hotel is rather old, however for stay overnight and going...

Sun's guesthouse is not named after himself, he tells us but after the Sanskrit word for beauty. Situated in a little residential area outside of the main city of Nan, it is within walking distance of the bus stop, which was a relief as there were no tuktuks or motos at the bus stop at 10pm at night. The location itself means that the surrounding area is pretty quiet ...

The resort has extensive grounds on the side of a hill, steep in parts. However it all looks a bit run down and in need of some TLC but there are new owners who are planning a gradual series of major improvements so hopefully it will improve. We stayed in two of the rooms in the villa section. The rooms were definitely small, and looked very plain and tired. Décor was...

The old wooden home is authentic and the neighborhood is the same. Air conditioning was a wonderful retrofit! Although the fan was fine at night. Large common areas were comfortable and breakfast great. The best was the family. Sweet, attentive, careful and helpful. This is a homestay and not to be compared with a chain hotel. You will not get an automated wak...

I stayed one night here. The hotel looks Thai traditional house with very nice atmosphere. The room was clean. The hotel is a little bit far from city center. From bus terminal, you have to take a sonteo (pick-up truck type bus), and it took 30THB for one person. For sightseeing, they offered free bicycle use for guests, so I didn't have any problem. The owner wa...

Warm greeting, easy check in. Had been riding motor bike for seven hours so didn't want to ride any more. Hotelier ran us round to "Tony's bar" to meet some friends and then collected us later, we had to pay for the ride but it's was worth the money. Very knowledgeable about the area. Over flow car park opposite hotel so no need to panic if the two parking spaces in fr...

One night stop on a road trip through Nan and Pua. Interesting, remote resort. Take a resort bicycle and explore the super-friendly local village. Good dinner at the resort. But expect an early night - unless you have your own entertainment. Grim breakfast. Who wants to eat cold congealed fried eggs? The super hero and cartoon character figures scattered around the...

When I think of Nan, I will think about the local tradition, ancient temple, mountain, local North Thai food with affordable cost of living.
This city is a small city in the mountain so there is no movie theater or much nightlife activities.Temple visit is great as the architecture is real nice which reflect Northern Thai.
A small town with several historical sites. People in this province are friendly and peaceful. People here live in slowlife, no hurry at all.

It's a country town with impressive temples, one in the middle of town and one larger ground at the other side of the river which looks like it could have a better maintainance.
Nan is a really nice city, much more pleasant than Chiang Rai or Mae Hong Son (in terms of the actual city).
