Hue hotels & accommodations

We were truly impressed by the service, quality of the food, style and maintenance of the rooms and the location of the Pilgrimage. It's large enought to have pools and several restaurants to choose from, but it doesn't at all strike you as a 'resort'. It's a naturally beautiful oasis, right outside the city center of Hue. After visiting the other top hotels in Hue, I ...

This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in, truly a five star hotel. The building itself is magnificent set in lovely gardens. The rooms are spacious and extremely modern and comfortable. Thge hotel pool is large and beautiful with adjoining gym and sauna. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a huge range of food to suit all tastes. Just on the outer par...

I can not fault the service at our stay at Imperial Hotel. The staff were extremely pleasant - as soon as you walk through the door, you will be impressed! Not only is the hotel new, it is clean whilst maintaining a sense of culture of the real Vietnam, best felt in Hue. The breakfast was amazing. My family like traditional Hue and Vietnamese food for breakfast, wh...

Loved my stay at Huong Giang Resort! After days of dreary weather, a sunny breakthrough on the lovely, lazy Perfume River whose shores the hotel is perched on, I had a reprieve from previous mediocre travels in North Vietnam. The setting and attentiveness of staff at this resort added to the enjoyment of Hue and its surroundings. The facilities were superior, closer to...

From the moment I arrived at the Moonlight Hotel Hue, I felt like I was home. I had a motorbike fall on my way from Da Nang, and one of the busboys, Trung Truc, immediately busted out his full compliment of first aid equipment and fixed me up. The whole staff was exceptional, from the check-in counter to the restaurant workers. They all remember your name and will c...

We arrived at EMM Hotel in the early morning on a damp, rainy day. Staff at the reception desk welcomed us with warm ginger tea and managed to check us in right away even though the check-in time is at 3:00 pm. Our room is clean, spacious, simple but tastefully decorated. I love the room purple and teal accent since it gives a sense of harmony and tranquility (typical...

We booked the Eldora Hotel for a one night stay in Hue and were incredibly impressed with the charm and classiness of the hotel. We stayed in several 4 star hotels during our time in Vietnam, and this was by far the most luxurious. It truly felt like like a 5 star international hotel at a budget friendly price point! The hotel was beautiful with excellent facilities, ...

This is the third time I have booked rooms at this hotel which used to be Mercure Gerbera Hotel (Accor Group), then Gerbera Hotel (Angsana Group), and now Muong Thang Hue Hotel. Though the name sounds local the quality of service remains excellent. The property is well maintained through the years, and the customer service has improved from better to best. I was just s...

James at the front desk and the rest of the staff really took care of me. this is legit the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Vietnam, period. When I am talking the best, it's the staff that make this hotel good. I felt safe, and trusted the staff that they would make things right if they went wrong at all. seriously, i wish all hotels in vietnam could be as half as ...

like from another review, we nearly missed out on visiting hue, but we're glad that we didn't. and the saigon morin hotel made it our best hotel stay in vietnam.. it's a peaceful haven and great for relaxing from vietnam's city life. while you are here, don't miss on the indulging foot or body massage which costs half of the price you pay in the major cities. my hubby ...

Hue Hotel offers remarkable services for good value. The hotel is charming, with an elegant design and large rooms. The swimming pool is small but very useful after a day in the heat, especially with children. They should just think to increase the number of long chairs around the swimming pool. Or to make more available on demand. The breakfast is top quality, both f...

Good sleeping conditions, no outside noise in this smallish hotel, and the wifi was really good. While by this criteria the Scarlet is excellent hostelry -- like many in Vietnam in this category/price range -- we would by no means make claim that it is The Best hotel in Hue. Located down an alley set back from the street meant minimal views from the window/balcony --...

Most probably one of the best service in Vietnam. Great hotel, good location, fantastic service. Great experience even at the check in, welcome food and drink served, with good advices referring stay in Hue, with map. Nice clean room, tidy maintanance, free water and fruit basket every day! Perfect sense of what a tourist need in tropical heat( 37C in Hue). The only...

I had a terrific stay at Park View Hotel! Although the hotel was filled due to a Festival in Hue I was given a very nice quiet suite by the General Manger. The breakfast buffet is huge ! Both Asian and Western foods. The hotel restaurant is great for lunch and dinner. I booked two tours (Citadel and DMZ Tours) by the hotel and was very satisfied.Very nice pool to relax...

Probably one of the best hotels in Hue. Also I enjoyed Hue city so much, that I prolonged my stay for another two nights at the same hotel. One of pleasant surprises was size of the room and bed - both were huge. Continental breakfast surprised even more - luckly I could choose something eatable as I was already too tired eating unknown origin meal on the streets. Th...

We stayed at several hotels in Hue, Quang Tri, and Da Nang on our trip which ranged from very cheap to fairly expensive and we would have to say that this hotel was the best for its price. We were very impressed with the staff who seemed pretty fluent in English. They were all so sweet and helpful with suggesting activities and sites to see. The rooms were surprisingly...

we stayed for 2 nights in the romance hotel in hue. after our long train journey from hanoi we were warmly welcomed on arrival by hang, a member of the reception staff. all our special requests were provided and hang personally showed us to our room. our accommodation was large, modern and comfortable. our breakfast was served on the 11th floor with great views of ...

You will not go wrong by taking a few days out of a hectic travel / tour schedule to put your feet up on the beach here. Literally on the beach, the staff and facilities here are exceptional. We ate lunch and breakfast and the food was fantastic. The beach bar offers a low-key place to eat or drink. The absolute best part was the amazing sunrise. The only thing to...

When booking I requested a quiet room, but was put in the bungalow next to the restaurant. This place is listed as a hotel and not homestay but the family that run it stay on the property. The family are nice enough, they have 2 young boys that play around the restaurant area and regardless of time are screaming the most high pitched screams all the time. I'm not telli...

Hong Thien 1 was the best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam. The staff took the time to show us a map of the entire city and specifically where we should spend a lot of time. They arranged our transportation out of Hue and helped us book another hotel for a different city. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and fresh to order. The staff went out of their way to make you feel we...

When we arrive at the Hotel the check-in went smoothly. The room are large, clean with a bathub/shower type. For the price we were very satisfied with the room. Breakfast was included and was ok, a major part of the food is not so warm in the buffet ( bacon, sausage etc.) so nothing fancy, but they do offer a egg station where you can get omelette and eggs made so ...

We did just a short 1 night stay in Hue and found this hotel to be one of the best we stayed during our Vietnam trip. The staff were super welcoming giving us some good recommendations for sightseeing. Madame Thu restaurant was excellent to try local delicacies and got gel nails done for only 100k dong in a nearby street. The room was spacious, extremely comfortable b...

We are a couple travelling Vietnam during one month. We experience many hotel and accommodation and by far, La perle Hotel in Hue is the best than any other we experienced: staff service, quality « all you can eat breakfast », the cleanliness of the room and all the facilities you need to spend a great time in Hue. They give you great tips and can help with booking tou...

Incredible villas on the river. Qi was an outstanding host and was very helpful and insightful on what to do in Hue. He booked a fantastic day tour for us on the back of motorbikes with a driver - super fun. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Hue which is central to everything then this is the place to stay. It’s a 2 minute walk to the walking streets which com...
Cheap places to stay in Hue

hotels in hue are generally less expensive than many areas of vietnam. hence for the same price as a budget hotel at night we got the victory with its large rooms and beautiful decor. we had some initial problems as the superior room was depicted online as having two double beds. it turned out it only had 2 singles. after some heated negotiations, the hotel managem...

I booked this last minute cause my previous hostel was too far out. this place was just what I needed! beds had curtains, and the shower was good. very clean. the staff were amazing! So helpful and always had recs for food and things to do. It is down an alley but it was fine once you know where it is. met some cool people there as well.

Nothing to complain about :) The gentleman running the place was very kind and helpful with a good understanding of what tourists like. He arranged trip for the 4 of us to Bach Ma natural park, a fantastic place and then on to Hoi An, another fantastic place. I read one comment about people being unpleasant in Vietnam: from what we can tell this applies only to the No...

I've stayed for 4 night at the Mintea hostel and it was perfect. First we arrived early and we checked in at 9 am im the morning. The rooms are spacious (dorm) and the beds are very good. The staff is really friendy and can help you with booking a tour. They also arranged a motorbike for me! If I'm in Hue again this would be my first choice!

It's been my 4 nights already in Amy hostel. The location is amazing, 10 min from the market, one side is the rich quarter, one side is the local one, very cheap food on that side. The hostel is so clean. The only thing to improve would be the curtains in the dorm as they are white and we can see through. Except this, breakfast is very good, the lounge is amazing comfo...

The room was a great value. The staff did everything possible to ensure that my stay in Hue was enjoyable. Use the hotel facilities to book guides. The commission is minor compared to haggling with scammers on the street and the hotel prices are probably better than anything a foreigner can negotiate. Nga took me to a tailor to buy an au dai for my daughter (done i...

We stayed for three nights in this lovely Guesthouse. Our room was on the top floor consisting of two double beds and a lounge area with a small table. Additionally, we had a beautfiul little terrace only for us. Room and bathroom were clean. The house is a few meters away from the Hue citadel and you can reach most of the inner part of the town by foot as well as rent...

Hue Happy Homestay is by far the best place we have stayed in Vietnam for a range of reasons. The owner is very kind and helpful, he helped us book a great transport option to Da Nang. The location is great, room was very clean, breakfast fantastic and a free beer at happy hour! I wish more homestay’s could be like this one! Stay here!

We had a great stay in Everhome Hostel. The receptionists and the staff are very helpful and are ready to help you with your trip especially in getting a taxi, the only mode of transpo if you want to get around the city, unless you know how to use a bike. Also, great location! Big rooms and clean too! Very affordable and I think it’s the best hostel in Hue/Vietnam. ❤...

I spend 1 night at hostel. First sight is pretty then pretty. Hostel is very near Imperial citadel, small restaurant, coffee shop, local market and street food so that I could walk around under hundred-years tree. You must be stay there so Ms. Nien - the host will show you the beauty of Hue.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights (Feb 2017). The staff were so incredibly lovely, friendly and helpful. I made a mistake on my booking but it was no problem for them and quickly amended. The free breakfast was lovely. Always accompanied by some free fruit and always offered extra tea or coffee. The room was clean and made up daily. Basic but exactly what you ...

The staff was always super friendly, place clean and room with a lot of space. We had different options for the free breakfast (Banana pancakes was the best!): 1 dish, 1 drink and 1 plate of fruits. The location is perfect, right on the middle of the main night street. 15 minutes from the historical part and daylly market. We arrived too early for the check-in and the ...

We had a great stay at the Hue Family Boutique Homestay - Phu and his family were lovely and always helpful, helping us book our onward travel and answering any questions we had. We had already checked out in the morning and returned for our bags; Phu made us both a fresh mango juice and offered to let us use their shower. The room was clean and spacious; fantastic val...

I stayed here just one night on a quick stop in Hue, but the Casablanca Hotel was the best lodging decision of the trip. The staff was ultra accommodating, helpful, and spoke good English. I had requested an early check in planning an arrival around 10:00am. I knew that the request likely couldn't be met, but put it in anyway. They had the room ready by 10:45 and apolo...

We went to hue by night bus and arrived around 7 am, way to early to check in, but the staff were super friendly. While we were waiting for somebody to check out, they served us some watermelon and tea for free! They also arranged a motorbike and train tickets for us and gave us good recommendations for sights and restaurants. Everything was very clean and the beds wer...

I heard a lot of good reviews for this hostel and they were definitely not wrong. This hostel is very clean, and the beds are spacious with curtains. The beds are also very sturdy, feels like wood, not those metal ones. They have a restaurant on the first floor, and the general common area for the hostel is on the 2nd floor. The hostel staff was very very helpful. ...

The hotel located in a quiet alley which is a bit difficult to find by yourself if you don't know how the address in Hue works but with a taxi driver is easy. We were mistaken the first one (Thanh An) with theirs (Thanh An 2) but the host in Thanh An was so nice, he even called to the Thanh An 2 so their host can come and together they gave us a ride back to the right ...

Rooms are clean, service is good. Internet is so so. All room with air-con. ,the price was great you won’t really care because of its price and convenience, they were treated like family, the service couldn't have been better, everything was very clean The position is great, really near the Trang Tien Bridge, within cycling/walking distance to the Imperial City of Hue.....

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I found this place decent, especially for the price. It is located close to the main tourist strip (w/ restaurants, cafes, pubs, etc.) and river. The bed was comfy (incl mozzie net), lockers provided (padlock required), shower was hot and the common area (in the bar) was small but fine. Would love to see it in the summer with the cakes ou...

even i only spend few hour in the hotel while waiting for my night train schedule to ninh binh, i really like this hotel. the way the staff treat you is so gud and make you feel welcoming. i will recommended those who plan to stay overnight in Hue to stay here.

First of all, the homestay is a 37 minute walk away from the point that is shown on this map. Which is not a bad location, if we knew beforehand. When we could not find it, we called Vu and he and his father picked us up with their motorcycles. Vu was very friendly and gave us two bikes for free to check out the area. The homestay is a nice place with huts the owner b...

The Thanh Lich Hotel is a 3 star plus, with authentic staff and a positive room ambience to rest in! I had a massage in my room by a male masseur who did the deed with more than adequate skill -unfortunately the massage rooms were off putting with no apparent heating or cover sheets, with the 'table' being a raised single bed with one side against a wall -? Next door...

We had a fantastic two nights here. Walking through the beautiful garden with butterflies, swimming in the amazing pool, free bicycles to go out and about exploring the neighbourhood, free shuttle into Hue at night, great breakfast. Would definitely come again!

A nice hotel placed in the countryside of Hue. Hue is receivable by taxi. The was really nice, but we had a lot of ants in our room. The balcony we didn't use because of mosquitos. The walking path was filled with huge snails. The staff and the service were really good.

I was upgraded to a deluxe room on the 7th floor, end room front of building. WOW, the room was huge with windows on either side, the main window ran the whole length of the room. The night view of the bridges over the Perfume River was fantastic. The hotel is a street back with several other hotels (same size and smaller)from the main road that takes you across the br...

Far from anywhere, run down, musty with an empty pool and bicycles that were a pure death trap due to poor servicing it is diicult to put a positive span on our two day stay. If you can find a rideable bike then it is worth cycling down the the beach and enjoying fresh seafood at very cheap prices. There are a couple of first class places on the beach worth spending ti...

La Residence Hotel in Hue is simply stunning. The Gardens are beautiful as are the rooms. We had a pool /river view double room with balcony. The bed and pillows were heavenly. We booked 3 days and got overbooked on the first day. The owner told us that he is not active on agoda so he didn't check email????? (we already paid). He did arrange another homestay for us for the first day though. Not what we paid for. We stayed in Luong' homestay for the remaining two days. The price is really cheap so not much expectation. There is only one share...

This is my first time in Hue on my own. The homestay is my plan B. For 2 days staying, I think it's good for family and friends traveling in groups. The lady cares for your health pretty much. The location is a bit far away from center; however, motorbike makes things work Recommend it for family and friends.

The best hotel in Hue. Looks spectacular from the outside and feels super luxurious inside. Very recently built with all the facilities of a top class. Staff is very polite and try their best to make your stay pleasant. Worth every penny spent. Would definitely book again.

This resort is an absolute must. Everything was perfect. The Staff is extremely friendly and always looking after you. The little houses on the hill are absolutely amazing and have an awesome view. Real reviews for hotels
Imperial Citadel, Quoc Hoc High School, Thien Mu Pagoda, Ming Mang Tomb, Khai Dinh Tomb, Tu Duc Tomb
Hue is a great town, and was better than I expected. The area around Hue has many historical artifacts and sights that are special.
Eating at the Why Not Bar and Restaurant at 46 Pham Ngu Lao Street was great value and better taste than we had found in some other 'authentic' Vietnamese restaurants.
Hue is a reserved city with beautiful ancient citadels (UNESCO sponsored), famous Linh Mu pagoda, historic Trang Tien Bridge.
History of Vietnam, going back in times, very relaxing, friendly people, water puppet must see..food is good nice place love it!
I would spend a day trip visiting the cave in Phong Anh (sp?) and then spend a day trip without a tour guide to explore the palaces.
I have been living in Hue for 9 months now and see many tourists come for too short a time! Hue used to be the capital of Vietnam so is really a must to visit and there is too much to see for just a couple of days.
A history city with full of character of its own. Quite different form Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city. Serene and slower pace that the two major city in Vietnam
For the culture buffs this is the place. The old Imperial capital of Vietnam. The south side of the city-south of the Perfume River that is,is more residential but with shopping and restaurants in good numbers.
In comparison to other cities in Vietnam, Hue has no character and seems bland. It does not have many air conditioned coffee shops and the businesses do not keep sizes for average size westerners.
The city is perfect for those who are into history and culture. This is the only old capital of Vietnam that still have the palace and pretty much every thing survive through time and war.
Bustling city and old imperial capital of Vietnam by the perfume river. Things are hectic here with all the scooters and small crowded streets, but I didn't meet a single rude person while staying here.
Hue is a place for Couples and basically a 2 night deal as there isn't much to see there. The Citadele looks amazing but the attractions inside are very limited and always crowded.
Rich history as the country went through so many wars and many dynasties. Easy access to Da Nang, Hoi An, and nearby cities.
I think that about 3 nights is okay for this city. Some people prefer it over Hoi An, but they are very different from one another! If you have time do both!!
Nightlife is not much in Hue, however the day trip to Purple Forbidden City, Thien Mu Pagoda and three famous tombs will be adequate.
A bigger city than we thought and a lot to see. A day can be spent in the citadel and it was well worth visiting at least 2 tombs.
I'd booked four nights in Hue, and this was far too long - two would have been easily sufficient. There is relatively little to do other than the Citadel / Imperial Palace (which is very interesting) and a dragon boat trip with visitis to the tombs of the Emperors (also very good) after that you are serioisly scraping the barrel - trips to Lang Co beach / Danang / Marble mountain / Hai van Pass can be rolled into one bus trip on the way to Hoi An - aren't really worth individual trips (in my view!).
Hue is spread out so you would need to jump in a taxi at a low cost. Be sure to visit Tomb of Khai Dinh, the Imperial City and the Thien Mu Pagoda.
We were expecting a weather of 28-30 deg C, but it was much hotter 34- 36*C and so much hotter than Singapore and Malaysia.
It's a peaceful place with full of historical attractions as this place used to be the old kingdom of Vietnam.
A night time cruise on the river is a must. The Citadel is a highlight though might underwhelming on first viewing.
Lots of things to visit citerdale tombs a lot of history be careful of the sleasy motorbike men offer drugs and women and drive you mad and can rip you off caution required use but be careful make it clear that that is the price and thats it you go somewhere and they say 1 price then ask for another or don, t give change
I love Hue for its importance in Vietnamese history. Definately visit the tombs on one day and then the Citadel on another day.
to stay here is up to you most of the coaches seem to stay for one night then move on but i could have stayed longer as there were trips to the DMZ and the trail that were offered and of course to go and see the tombs and the pagoda.
Met a rude lady in the agency office who told me to wait in the office after i showed her the bus ticket.
I liked the city but was there at the wrong time of year, smack in the middle of Rainy Season. I was told that it's better to visit from March to May.
Lovely old citadel. Worth a stay in Hue but stick to the old part of the city - the main section is too heaving these days.
We stayed 3 nights and I would suggest 2 nights to be sufficient. The sights are close enough to view within a day or two.
Nature abounds all around Hue, take a boat ride on the Perfume River, dine on the floating restaurant.
