The hotel is located within the Amphawa floating market area, which is the main reason we chose it. When we first arrived we were disappointed with the room which was upstairs and next door to a service lift. The room was small and basic. So we asked to change and paid 200 baht more for a bigger room downstairs next to the coffeehouse/breakfast area. I had concerns ab...

This is a small family owned resort. But the owner make many details like a four star hotel. Clean room and good bed with four pillows. You even get safety locker and varieties of free minibar. We get coconuts as welcome drink. Night milk for the children. The breakfast was arranged in the door table, you see the pool and enjoy breakfast in your private area, very del...

Each room tastefully decorated differently, nice and clean. Attentive staffs. A welcome drink was nice. On our return from outing at night we were pleasantly surprised by a plate of fruits freshly prepared. We were also asked our preference of newspaper at breakfast - a nice touch. The A/C was a little small for hot afternoon but adequate. We noticed a staff go t...

I stayed at Villa Amphawa with my lovely taiwanese girlfriend on July. It was the most memorable hotel since we travelled together. The hotel was built as coloniel style and located in the green scenery atmotsphere. All staffs were very accommodate with a big smile on their faces. It's our second time staying at Dream Garden Resort. Both times were great. The resort is very quiet and filled with greenery. The rooms are really big and clean and the staff is very friendly. Amphawa floating market is a 8 min drive away. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and I definitely recommend the location.

Fantastic location! Easy enough to find and literally situated above the floating markets - just open the french doors onto the balcony and BAM! Super friendly staff greeted us in the cafe downstairs upon arrival, and asked us what we would like for the following breakfast and at which time we'd prefer it (and honestly, it was probably the best breakfast we'd had in ...

This place is more like private house with some room to rent, than a hostel. It is thai style. Just 5 rooms. We had one with shared bathroom, but just 2 rooms use it. The bad thing was, we had ants in our room, which wasn't big problem (you are in thailand though), but they were travelling with us all around Thailand after that. And we didn't keep any food in our lugg...

Amphawa is a good morning day trip to go to. Take 515 from Victory Monument to go to Sai Tai Mai (Southern Bus Terminal) for 17baht and then a mini van to go Amphawa (70 baht) then they will drop you at the last stop which is a bus stop... walk further down and you will see a resort looking building.. that's Baan Sanranrom because their sign board will not be in englis...

it was one of a kind. We came in very very late - 2AM because of delay at the immigration at Don Muang Airport but they were very accommodating to still welcome us with a smile. I didnt realize that Amphawa was completely opposite of Bangkok. The whole place was very quiet and there were no more establishments open at that particular hour, i guess there's not much nigh...

The staff are very friendly and eager to help but do not speak a word of English making it difficult to communicate. That was a huge disappointment for us as that was the purpose of our visit to the area was to see the Amphawaw floating market. The rooms are very clean and the most ...

the hotel location is not very close to Amphawa floating marking. You cannot walk to the market but there is only 20THB per person for motorbike taxi or TukTuk. I booked the room with triple beds. Walk from Amphawa market along the river, not need to use the main road after u came down from van. Just along the river towards the home stay direction. It’s a little bit far away from Amphawa floating market, take about 20min to homestay, not convenience location. But thanks for host drove us to the place we need to go. If you plan stay at Amphawa, I’ll recommend Bansuwan where you could close local life, enjoy the river view.

We had a nice short trip to Samut Songkhram. The resort is next to the river, near to Amphawa floating market. However you need a car or motorbike to get around since it is not near a main road. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated with an "open air bathroom". It was er clean the breakfast buffet was good too. All in all a nice small resort in beautiful surroundin...

Just a short ride from Amphawa Floating Market, this property has small bungalows set among the coconut farms. The room is basic with bed, shower, tv and fridge, but the property is beautiful and the peace and quiet wonderful. They even provide breakfast! It's a riverside hotel, but not near Amphawa floating market. You must have car to go there. The rooms are large and clean. Garden area & terrace are very nice and cozy. In the morning, there are Buddhist monks paddling the boat to the pier in front of the hotel for alms-offering.

I stayed at At Casa for 4 nights. The first night I was in a downstairs room right next to the water pump and the bright flouresent light in the foyer. Didn't sleep too well. The room price per night is not expensive even though it is the high season. The resort is bordered with the canal where you can sit, relax and talk to your sweetheart romantically under the moon. the floating market was awesome but make sure you come during the weekend. we were disappointed with the closure of the railroad market which was under repair.
Amphawa is a quiet rural city perfect for relaxing and sightseeing. At the weekend it is busy due to its bustling floating market.
Lots to see and do in the area. Beautiful unspoilt environment and not over commercialised. The fireflies at night were the highlight.
Amphawa is the best local business in Thailand. It's build from good culture and local until famous on floating market.
This is a must to visit town. Small but has lots to do. The attraction being the floating market during the day and visit the firefly via long tailed boats at night.
- visit floating market - visit maeklong railway market - take boat ride visit the temples (daytime) - take boat ride to see fireflies (nighttime) - try the foods there
Traditional local floating market, fresh fruit from farm. fresh seafood. Should visit umbrella market by the train station.
floating market for mainly local people night boat tour:fantastic fireflies (strongly recommend) Meklong railway market(15 km)
So close to Bangkok, 1.5 hours driving. U will enjoy the local stylist and several kinds of different history areas.
Floating markets here are only open on Fri, Sat and Sun, but are open from late afternoon into the evening.
It's different shopping experience. Lots of shops surround the river, and lots of shops sell food on boat.
better to stay at homestay than resorts or hotels. you'll find new experience living with the locals.
Has Amphawa Floating Market, also close to Damnoen Floating Market. Has Mansions to stay at for abut $14 USD.
This was our first stop in Thailand. We loved this place. Do it as the locals do. Eat off the street, not in flash restaurants and catch the local transport which is really easy.
Weekend floating market at night time from friday to Sunday; a lot of Thai people come and buy food prepared on the small boats Trip to see the fireflies; book at the klong in Amphawa (only 60 Baht for 1 hour trip
Typical small town in Thailand - not much to do except eat and walk around looking at stuff. Some cool temples and things, but the town is very vanilla.
Not too busy town and very pleasant and easy to get around. Many attractions around to visit e.g. temples, floating markets, sea salt production, lobster farm etc
ควรเอารถมาเองหรือเช่ารถ ถ้ามาโดยรถโดยสารอาจจะไม่สะดวกเพราะมีวัดน่าไปเยอะ นั่งเรือชมธรรมชาติก็น่าสนใจ
I've been to several floating mkts. This one is literally next to water with vendors on both sides and connected with pedestrian bridges along the roughy 1 km stretch.
Don't be afraid to try new foods and order from the vendors cooking in the boats. It's a great experience!
