Enjoy an exceptional stay at this resort with friendly staff who provide an unforgettable experience. The breakfast buffet offers stunning sunset views at both beachside and on-site restaurants. We stayed at Camia for 6 nights in early April as a family of 4 adults and 6 children. Service - This is where Camia shines. Camia's staff really care about making your stay pleasurable. Each morning at breakfast one of the staff members would check in with us to see if we were happy with everything. When we mentioned the pillows were a bit soft, they came to our room straight away with a solution. When I mentioned we were vegetarian, they offered to make us a special breakfast each morning. When they overheard me mention to my partner that the daily 1 small bottle of water per person wasn't enough in the current heat, we suddenly found it doubled from then on. We were really impressed. Amenities - the two hotel pools (one freshwater, one salt water) are fantastic and there was never a problem getting a lounger. In fact we were often the only people at the freshwater pool. Bikes are provided and we enjoyed riding into the local village most days to grab lunch. The bikes aren't available in the evening as they don't have lights. The gym is the only thing I was very disappointed in. It is tiny and there is no air conditioning so it becomes a sweat box which no more than 2 people can work out in at a time. Furthermore, the equipment (one treadmill, one bike, one cross-trainer, one multi-gym, free weights) isn't of a great standard. Kayaks - the hotel has a pair of kayaks free to use. However, in our six days we were not allowed out on them as the staff deemed the sea to be too rough. This was disappointing as the kids had been looking forward to using them, though obviously it's best to put safety first. Breakfast - The breakfast buffet was fantastic. There is a huge range of hot food, a daily hot special (usually some form of noodle soup), eggs to order, fruits, pastries, pancakes, breads, salads, cold cuts, cheese, fresh juices, etc. I was initially disappointed that none of the hot food was vegetarian but as soon as the staff realised, they offered to cook me vegetarian fried rice or noodles plus fried tofu every morning. I didn't even need to ask -within 10 minutes of arriving at breakfast each morning I was served my own freshly cooked dish. As well as the usual jugs of brewed coffee, the restaurant offers made-to-order espresso based coffees and the barista remembered our coffee order every day which was impressive. Beach bar/restaurant - we only used the beach bar for drinks so we can't comment about the quality of food (though it looked good). As with most resorts, the prices of both food and drinks were extremely high compared with the local restaurants, though the beautiful view and fabulous service justifies the high prices. Location - Camia is about a 10-15 minute walk to the restaurants and coffee bars of Ong Lang village. We ate at a different place every night and found food and drinks in the village to be delicious and extremely well priced. Most places have menus in English and plentiful vegetarian options. The walk is fine for most but the road back up the hotel is very steep so would be unsuitable for the infirm. It would be great if the hotel offered guests rides to and from the main road in its golf buggy. To get to other parts of Phu Quoc, you will need to either hire scooters (which can be done at the hotel or more cheaply in Ong Lang village) or use taxis. The best and cheapest form of taxis is via the Grab app. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a Grab taxi to arrive despite the hotel seeming somewhat remote. Beach - whilst the resort is seafront, there is no real beach to speak off, just a very narrow strip of sand with loungers. Certainly not wide enough to play games on. However, its a perfect spot for watching the amazing sunsets. We walked one day to the public beach just north of Camia which has a great expanse of sand but is not kept clean of all the plastic waste, and has no places to buy food/drinks (other than walking some distance across the rocks to the Eco Beach Resort). I booked three places for four nights and five days, and I don't regret booking two nights... Especially, the pool near the beach was great. I liked that it could be used even when it rains. Here's a tip: swimming when it rains is much better because there's no one around, haha. Also, the breakfast is tastier than at a five-star hotel... it’s true. I usually hate bugs, but I saw a lizard, and apparently, having lizards means there are no other bugs, haha. Seriously, they're cute... If I come back to Phu Quoc, it will be because of this accommodation...! The staff were also very friendly, and they gave us two beach towels each. I went with my boyfriend, and he said this accommodation will stay with him for life. I'm truly very satisfied!

We stayed in a garden room on the lower level. These are the least expensive rooms and they look a little dated. Water pressure wasn't great, hot water might take a few minutes, the tv picture was fuzzy and the patio door was hard to close. So if that matters stay at the Intercontinental for 3x the price. It won't be any cleaner, the staff won't be as friendly and the quaint atmosphere of a smaller property will be missing but your TV picture will be a little better. We enjoyed using the kayaks and the snorkeling equipment and the bicycles. Both pools are wonderful with the upper being a place for quiet times and the lower on the ocean the place to be for Happy Hour. The breakfast buffet was very good. But the standout of our visit had to be the dining at the oceanside restaurant. Many thanks to Harry and his staff. He understands that talking to his customers is good for his business and your pleasure. In summary Camia is a small resort ( 50 or so rooms) on a very pretty location run properly. Could not have been happier with our stay.

When you search for accommodations in Phu Quoc on Agoda, you’ll find more than 2,200 results. The names, photos, and reviews are all different, but in the end, the pros and cons depend on one thing—location. This was my fourth trip to Phu Quoc. The wind from the east, the sunset in the west, the blue seas of the south, the stillness of the north… I’ve stayed over 80 days in more than twenty different places, but there’s only one I’ve returned to: Camia Resort. During my five-day stay, the first to welcome us was Lucy, greeting us brightly in Korean at the breakfast restaurant. Her kindness went far beyond a simple smile. Without having to go to reception, she handled my requests right there on the spot. That thoughtfulness gave me instant reassurance—coming back here was the right choice. The second visit was even more touching. While we were staying at another hotel, the reservation team contacted me via KakaoTalk and sent a pickup vehicle. The moment we arrived, the staff’s warm smiles melted away the fatigue from our long journey. They had prepared the exact same room we stayed in before and even gave us welcome cocktail vouchers. Lucy personally escorted us to our room and showed us the “Welcome Back” message on the bed. In that moment, I didn’t feel like just another guest—I felt like someone they had truly been waiting for. The next morning, as we entered the breakfast restaurant, nearly every staff member seemed to know we had returned, greeting us with genuine warmth. At the pool, despite the unpredictable weather of the rainy season, the lifeguards handled situations quickly and skillfully. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the water quality and the standard of the resort’s restaurant—everything was flawless. We ended up spending all five days inside the resort. If I had to find a downside, it would be that the in-room internet speed was a little slow. If I had to recommend just one resort in Phu Quoc, it would, without hesitation, be Camia Resort. And if you happen to meet Lucy there, you can consider your trip already half a success. For my next winter holiday, I hope to return once again—to meet that same bright smile waiting for us.
