Agoda guests widely agree that this establishment boasts friendly staff, excellent in every way. Location wise, the hotel is near to all major attractions like downtown, the San Diego Zoo, and SeaWorld. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Many guests enjoyed their stay, complementing the cozy feel of the bed and cleanliness of the towels.
The rooms would benefit from better maintenance according to multiple reviews, and some visitors found it inconvenient that there were no microwaves in the room.

Let me start off by saying that I do not blame the staff here. I rarely have ever had any interactions with them aside from the check-in and checkout process, and I only stayed here a few nights. But a few things I think travelers should be aware about. The first is the rooms are incredibly small. As you could see from the photos I provided, there is barely enough space for a bed and a small desk. They do offer a nice big TV, but aside from that there really isn't too much going on in these rooms. Additionally, the bed doesn't even have a comforter or anything that you can use for warmth. Since the room is so small, the Aircon can't get a little bit cold since it's hard to regulate. This combined with no actual blanket or comforter, means that you're either going to freeze or burn with no aircon on. Luckily I read this before I stayed here from a previous traveler, so I packed my own blanket. Thanks to that traveler, it was a saving grace. Additionally, the room seems to have an ant problem. Ants were crawling all over the space. They were in the bathroom, the sink area where you wash your hands, the closet, the desks, everything. There were also insects or some bugs stuck inside of the bathroom lighting fixture. You can see from the photos I provided, a bunch of ants that I had killed right in front of a toilet. They were even in the light fixture in the bathroom. This is actually pretty disgusting. I didn't even bother asking the front desk receptionist to swap rooms, because I decided to only stay in the room a minimal amount of time. I was going to complain, but since I actually only spent about a few hours sleeping in the room, I decided not to put the burden on the staff. I don't know if other rooms are the same, but I was deeply disappointed by this. The only perk for this hotel is that it doesn't charge for parking. Other hotels in the area all charge for parking, and that was the only saving grace for this hotel. Aside from this, security does seem to roam around the parking area, so that's good. Besides that, I DO NOT make this place a recommended stay.

We returned tour room after being away all day and our door was not closed all the way. You could push it open. Anyone bumping into the door or a strong breeze could have opened the door. My MacBook, hubby’s new iPad, jewelry, and other items were in the room. We told staff. We’re advised WE needed to contact the manager. Next day asked for reservation manager. Told she was on call. No one asked for our name, room number (we gave them this), nor did anyone contact us.
We’ve stayed here whenever we were in San Diego over the last 4 years. The hotel has changed — mattresses and pillows need to be replaced, carpets cleaned, and you now have to request a coffee machine for your room. It’s too bad as the grounds are lovely

Check in easy, room clean, TV is good, bathroom is good, water pressure excellent. Price was very good. BUT, long, heavy curtains and two chairs and a table completely block what is otherwise good A/C. PUT IN SHORTER CURTAINS AND GET RID OF ONE OF THE CHAIRS.

We booked this hotel last minute during a busy season and were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great, right in the middle of everything, though it can feel a bit busy at times. There are several restaurants within walking distance, which was very convenient. The onsite café is a nice option, though it does operate on limited hours, so keep that in mind. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool, but the area looked very inviting. Our room was on the smaller side, but since we only stayed for one night and mainly needed a place to sleep, it wasn’t an issue. Free parking was also a big plus, especially in this area. Overall, this was a solid choice for a short stay, and we would consider coming back again
