Bearskin Lodge on the River

The hotel is really cute, has a lot of character - not a sterile Hilton with greige color schemes. Everything is made of wood, feels warm and inviting. Our room was HUGE, with a fireplace (didn't use it as it was August), a balcony overlooking the creek and a fridge and microwave. It was great to have a place to sit and talk while the kids were asleep, with the wonderful creek sounds. Despite how lively Gatlinburg is, the hotel is very quiet. The pool & lazy river are smaller than the pics make them out, but it was all more than enough for us - our kids had an absolute blast and asked to go there every day. The breakfast was enough to get you going in the morning. The hotel is walking distance to Gatlinburg attractions and is right next to the westernmost entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain NP.

The best part of the trip was meeting and interacting with the staff at the hotel. Having a super smile to greet you when you arrive was special . Emily and Amber were so nice I remembered their names . Loved my visit to the Smokies can’t wait to go again

The Bearskin Lodge is amazing! We loved the location as you can park at the lodge and walk all around Gaitlinburg. The room was great also, we did the riverview room and enjoyed sitting on the balcony and listening to the sounds of the river. The beds were comfortable, and we rested well. The Lodge was clean and staff is very attentive and helpful with all your needs. I would definitely recommend!!! We will stay at Bearskin Lodge again!!!

Within walking distance from the town, hotel was very clean and well kept. The staff was amazing and respectful.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming lodge, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The staff were incredibly kind, courteous, and went out of their way to be accommodating throughout my visit. The location is ideal—just a mile from Anakeesta, in downtown Gatlinburg, and only minutes from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It made exploring the area incredibly convenient. The lodge itself has a quaint and cozy atmosphere with a thoughtful, themed design that adds to its charm.
