I have been to Amphawa a few times, and here you can see the almsgiving scene that takes place in the morning with boats, and if you sign up, you can also participate in making merit (Tambun). It seemed that there were wooden rooms using old houses as they were and newly constructed rooms. We stayed in the wooden room and were satisfied except for the lack of a hairdryer (I think this will be improved since I requested it). I didn’t see fireflies, but it was nice to see boats occasionally passing by along the canals selling snacks and meals, which is typical of Amphawa. The owner couple was also kind, and the congee for breakfast was delicious. You might find the sound of boats going out for night fishing a bit loud at times.
